Two years ago purchased 2 leather Lazy boy recliners for just under $2000.00 cash payment. One was a big man recliner the other a regular size. After 8 months the big man recliner collapsed the day after my husband returned home from brain surgery. Contacted the Moore furniture store and was informed we would have to bring to store. Days after brain surgery. We are retired and had no help to do so. After weeks of attempting to get them to come 1.5 hours to pick up even paying $ 200.00, they canceled due to distance. After taking it in we had it home 3 weeks and it collapsed again. The base is particle board and they didn't replace the board but just moved over the screws which made it wobbly. We contacted the corporate office to no avail..months later I get a call from Moore furniture saying that Lazy Boy corporate authorized them to give us $100.00 to have it repaired. No one we contacted would even look at it for that price. Disappointed isn't the word I would use. I trusted Lazy Boy's guarantee and Moore furniture to make this situation right. That was 17 months ago and to date no results. I quit calling, quit hoping they would resolve the situation. Will not ever recommend anyone to purchase from Moore Furniture or Lazy Boy. Neither lived up to advertised reputation.
**Your person did reach out to me after he saw the review and he would not answer me as to why he didnt check back or why the store had done nothing to resolve this. He said he was waiting for me to call him to tell him when we could bring the chairs in. Even though he knew the complications of my husband's brain surgery, then therapies. I at 68 am not able to lift a big man recliner and all my children live 2 to 16 hours away. He knows that. I can say after over a year I have no hope of a resolution or any refund by the current avenues. I have 2 cheaply made recliners I spent $2000.00 on and a warranty that has now expired even though repairs were not either done correctly and the cheap composite wood may have added to the issue. My mistake was trusting Lazy Boy's past reputation from years ago. Lazy Boy has numerous very bad reviews. Wish i had done my homework instead of relying on past reputation. Came to Moore's on recommendations. Wasnt what I ever dreamed I would have to deal with but have found out not being a local puts you in a bad place as a...
Read moreWe bought a nice king size, expensive mattress from Moore’s Furniture, and an estimated 2 years went by, and not only was the mattress too high from the start, my husband and my backs were killing us from a sink hole in the middle of the mattress. We try not to complain, and give people a hard time, so we kept putting up with it thinking we would get used to the horribly uncomfortable mattress. My husband was even willing to buy a new mattresses because he hates to complain. I told him that it just wasn’t right to have to pay the money we did to just turn around and have to buy another new mattress, and what do we do with the one we just bought from Moore’s Furniture Company? We would be cheated! Mattresses, especially as expensive as that one should last more than 2 years. Moore Furniture Company honored the warranty, or the manufacturer did! Not only were we able to replace the mattress with a brand new mattress, they let us pick anyone we wanted and pay the difference and I think, maybe, delivery. They were so nice that I wrote them a thank you note. Thank God, we exchanged the mattress, our backs no longer hurt, and we have a lot easier time getting in and out of bed. I would recommend Moore’ Furniture Company to everyone that we meet! As a matter of fact, I just bought 3 book shelves from them that should be delivered around September 7, 2018. The clerk was so sweet, very helpful, friendly, personable, I cannot day enough good words about her. From now on, my store is Moore’s Furniture Company. I had done a lot of business with them, prior; but now they are just about the only store we will use! They’re Terrific! Please, give them, and anyone else a copy of my letter, and if it’s not asking too much, is there some way that they can tell me that they were able to read my letter. I don’t write every business this kind of appreciation letter! I know it is a lot to read; but you don’t know how thankful we are that our backs don’t hurt any more and how nice it is to get in and out of bed so easily. You certainly improved our lives, and we will never forget you, and never stop appreciating you. Read moreSales person was ok. But when the lift chair we bought Stopped working, and was stuck with the feet up in the air. My mom is 87 years old and was having a difficult time getting in and out of the chair. I told this to them, we were told another company took care of repairs. It took a couple of attempts but finally got the other company to contact us, even though the chair was still under warranty. They could not come out for another week. I explained to them the situation with my mom and this chair. I was put on hold so they could talk to one of the owner for an answer. Was finally told would send someone out that evening on his way home (he lives in this area), he was a no show or phone call. I called them back the next day and again they said he would come by on his way home. He did come out and disconnected the motor from the chair and said they would have to order a new one and would come back to replace it. That was at least 6 weeks ago, haven't heard a word. I understand that this virus has every crazy right now but a follow up phone call would be nice. If this is what can be expected anytime we buy from Moore furniture. We will NOT be back. Sincerely...
