Lajita Bakery — Restaurant in Cleveland

💕 My daughter and I saw this place as we drove an hour or so away from Galveston (near Cleveland) and we took one look and knew we had to go there! although we took a wrong turn to get here, it was a VERY WELCOMING accident outside and inside! Every piece we bit into made us and our friends we were visiting say WOW! and our clerk was an absolute gem to hang out with and we didn't even spend $20 and left with so many creative items, we had literal cajeta sugar skulls, some jelly heart cookies, pink concha, yellow concha, custard w/raising, sesame, pistachio?, a flaky disc but with caramelized honey, twisty bun, stuffed cinnamon donut, more cookies and we didn't even have a way to store the cakes so I guess we have to take...

Fair prices. Friendly staff. Decent to good food. I've been here plenty of times & for the first time I had an issue. I got 10 tortillas, half flour & half corn. The worker didn't know how to ring it up. She asked her coworker & she still didn't get her answer, so she just rang me up for 2ibs of tortillas. The problem?? It was not two pounds!! It was 1ib at best. So, rather, it's an issue of her being new, or their system needs more options/ updates. But it needs to be fixed. Can't be robbing people of their money like that. I Preordered a cake that was suppose to be ready for today at 3pm I go to the store to find out it wasn’t made and on top of that I couldn’t even get my money back I had to get a cake from that same bakery or they wouldn’t refund me terrible service never again will I buy from here it was for my daughters birthday party today, terrible terrible servisio ordene un pastel para ahoy para el party de mi hija me dijieron estaria listo alas 3 boy a recojerlo y ni siquiera lo abian echo y aparte de eso no me querian devolber mi dinero a menos que agarrara un pastel de ahy mismo NO recomendado...
