I've stayed at a lot of Holiday Inn Express Hotels and by far this is the dirtiest one I've ever stayed at. I was very disappointed with this property and the staff. The staff did not have name badges on and were not welcoming or friendly at all, except for the Young Maintenance Man. I had to call out to get someone’s attention because no one was at the front desk when we arrived. Upon checking in I was not thanked for being an IHG Member. We were put in a room with a missing picture off the wall, the room had a foul odor, and the paint/drywall was peeling by the air conditioner, and the bottom rim on lamp on the bedside table was about to fall off. There were various shades of paint used as "touch up" on the walls. Definitely not a well maintained property. There were bulbs missing in the lamp by the bed and one in the bathroom. When I called the front desk to report the missing bulbs she said that “maintenance is not in so she would have housekeeping to bring two bulbs”. An hour later when housekeeping had not arrived with the bulbs I called the front desk again and told her that the lighting was very poor in the bathroom. Within 15 minutes the young maintenance man showed up with the bulbs. Before leaving the room he asked us if there was anything else we needed. The next morning around 0730, there was barely any food options edible for breakfast aside from the cereal. It’s obvious that the food had not been restocked in a while. There was no fruit and when I asked the attendant in the breakfast area about fruit she told me that no one had gone to Walmart yet. The omelets were burnt and the biscuits were overcooked. Since this was an IHG property located near my travel destination, and we were only staying there one night we stayed. However, this is not a property I intend to revisit. I do not recommend this Holiday...
Read moreWe booked a 2 night stay here at the end of February. The hotel is located right off 69, so that was nice. There is a Walmart right next to it and a few fast-food restaurants. The hotel looks nice from the outside. The staff was very friendly and check in and out was very easy. We were in a suite. The room was pretty spacious, and clean. Would be good for a family. During our first night, water started pouring from the ceiling in the bathroom. The front desk was called. A gentleman came to check. He went to the people above us and found out one of them had taken a shower and got water on the floor. The gentleman came back and informed us what had happened and said that does happen from time to time. He did offer to put us in a different room. ||Beds: The beds are very very firm, almost hard in our opinion. Not very comfortable. ||Breakfast: They had several types of cereal, packaged cinnamon rolls, bagels, cinnamon raisin bread, a few different muffins, turkey sausage (?), imitation eggs, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal. You also had the option of making a pancake, but no waffles. They also had hard boiled eggs, so I was not sure why they had imitation eggs? The breakfast was not the best. ||We decided to check out early on our 2nd day due to the beds and breakfast and just head home. Due to us checking out earlier, the lady at the desk was concerned. She did state that we would be charged a full day, which was fine. ||Overall, the stay was “ok”. There are not many options...
Read moreMy family reunion(DAVIS FAMILY REUNION)was Labor day weekend. Every year my whole family books here,I was so disappointed with my visit this year. As with all things situations arise but this was more than just typical.... it was very clear this room had been out of order and was thrown together very quickly with out housekeeping every even touching this room. From hair in the tub, to a dirty toilet, to paint on the carpet, to the toilet tipping over a little. Now upon check in when the front desk was informed the young lady immediately took action trying to move me to another room but I also knew more family would be checking in I graciously said that maintenance could come that morning. After examining the room more I went back to the front desk and asked to be moved only to be moved to a room with no air conditioning. So we moved backed to the old room where I went to front desk to ask for cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom myself. The front desk clerk offered to clean it but that would take to much time. I work in hospitality for a hotel so I know things come up but this was ridiculous. The next morning maintenance came an supposedly fixed toilet and by the next morning same problem existed. I really was disappointed this is one of the few hotels that I recommend to family and friends who travel this area. Next year we may have to look elsewhere for our...
