Vineyard Valley Inn — Hotel in Cloverdale

We needed a place to overnight on a longer road trip north, and the Inn caught our eyes. Even though it was only one night, we really enjoyed our stay.||||The Inn was likely built in the 1950s, since it had that motor court feel. But the exterior was immaculate, with nice large potted plants as accents. Desk staff was very friendly and accommodating, and it was no problem that our 75lb Labrador was with us.||||The room itself was also immaculate, quiet, and the furnishings were modern and in excellent condition. I’ve seen some reviews that complain about the room size (too small, too cramped), but the rooms were built in the ‘50s when there were probably two single beds in them and now there is a kingsize bed. If you want a huge room, do your research and stay at a chain hotel — don’t pick a quaint, local business and then complain.||||The bathroom was huge, well appointed, and very clean. Microwave and fridge are helpful but website and google hasn't been updated. Still claims free continental breakfast. Also maybe I haven't stayed at enough "high end" hotels to understand why they come in your room to clean even if ur not there at the time. And expect you to tell them you DON'T want ur room entered if your not present. Every I've stayed prior they ask you beforehand if you want room service. Ridiculous if u ask me. Had paper plates and marajuana roaches I was planning to SAVE. Got back and they we're gone. Plates thrown away, roaches supposedly thrown out but probably taken home and smoked by housecleaning worker. I was supposed to have a do not disturb sign in room but didn't. Other rooms had what looked like homemade signs, literally piece of paper with do not disturb written on it, taped to their doors. Won't be staying here again. Strongly suggest people...

Omg I loooved this place! Their rooms are super comfy! the beds are big which I personally like a lot The water in the shower is super hot & the management is very polite which I really appreciate

And boy they have the most adorable kitty hopping around the property who is super friendly and loves pets (which if you're a cat lover as myself you'll find is a blessing from the universe for sure)

Also loved that even though the food around is amazing I was also able to get food delivered in our room when we didn't feel like going out which is also a great advantage
