Week 16 Supports Groups and Programs for Teens In My Community
"Hello Class!
What a lovely topic. I am happy to share a positive teen support network.
Identify a local agency, support group or program of some kind that is serving teenagers in your community. The Cloverdale Regional Library is a fantastic source of support for teens in my community. I would argue that it provides the most help for teens in my area.
Give some information about the agency, group, or programs, such as name, location, and the focus of their work. If you know how they are funded, please include that information as well. The library is located in between Cloverdale Highschool and Planks coffee. It is a wonderful establishment that undoubtedly enriches teens' lives through their afterschool programs, supportive staff, technology, and printing zone. Overall it is a wonderful place to hang out concentrate at. It is funded by city taxes.
Share some of the details about the agency, group or program that you have identified. How are they positively and/or uniquely affect the lives of teenagers in your area? The library provides a uniquely supportive and positive atmosphere in our community for teenagers. It is a place you can go to even if you don't have a lot of money. In fact, it is one of the only public establishments that is welcoming to the homeless. Nowhere in town compares to the Cloverdale Regional Library period.
Do you have any personal connection or experience with the program or group you have identified in your community?Absolutely, my mother has been a long time advocate for the public library. she was able to spend time at the library growing up when she didn't have a lot of resources throughout college. The Library is a safe haven for those who don't have a a lot of whelth. I think it is a wonderful establishment. "
