Piacére Ristorante Italiano — Restaurant in Cloverdale

The food was great, our waiter was great...except for one rude, but very pretty blond hostess that was constantly rude to her co-workers and was exceptionally rude to us as customers. One example: we ordered bread to go with our meal. The waiter goes to the kitchen to get it for us and we hear her say "Don't cut into a new loaf!" The waiter replied "they ordered bread" The hostess says "they are just gonna waste it" the waiter replied "they ordered bread, you can have the left over bread" the hostess replied with "go ahead give them a piece". My husband and I looked at eachother in awe of the conversation we just heard in the kitchen. We were in the far corner away from the kitchen and she was loud enough to where it can be heard throughout the entire restaurant, luckily the only other party of 4 that was there had just left. Another example: the waiter was standing next to our table letting me know what the nights specials were. The hostess comes up and stands between the waiter and I and pours us a glass of water. She could have served from the other side of the table or she could have waited until there was room for her instead of squeezing between the waiter the table and myself. The waiter had to pause and wait for her to get out of the way to proceed with letting us know the nights specials. The waiter was embarrassed and apologized to us more than once, actually he apologized everytime he saw the hostess be rude. Makes me wonder how many others he has had to apologize to because of her bad customer service and bad work ethic. Everything else about the restaurant was great except for the pretty blond rude hostess. We did tip our waiter well as we understand her actions are beyond...

I really liked the dressing on the salad. However, that was the only thing that I liked. The attitude of the woman serving us was just unacceptable I've been to Taco Bell's where I received better service. I understand not everyone has the same taste in food so I can definitely get past not loving it myself however I cannot get past the way our waitress spoke with us. She talked to us like we were inconveniencing her the entire time. The most upsetting part was when my friend stated that she was a vegetarian as to get her entree vegetarian style then asked what was in the soup was told that it was just onions and herbs then found meeting it and our waitress acted very indifferent about the whole thing and just stated oh I don't know if it's in there when we very clearly showed her a piece of bacon that had been pulled from the bowl. An apology would have been nice as my friend is vegetarian for health reasons rather than a moral standpoint. You would think after such a big mistake on her part she would have a apologize or be at least treated us a little nicer especially when we asked for something as simple as...

What a GEM! We had a special occasion there for no other reason than we were treated so specially. The service was friendly and attentive from the first moment. The food was amazing, fresh, and very high quality ingredients (I can tell the difference). Chef came out to check with us. I asked a server if they were all family because it appeared they could have been. He said no, pointed to the chef, his wife and daughter and said he and the others are not family but happily stated “we are treated as if we are”. My wife ordered the Barbeque oysters and a bowl of clam chowder. She said the oysters were the best possible and my taste of the clam chowder was also among the best I’ve ever had. I ordered one of the specials - a Penne with seafood and it was loaded with seafood and amazing as well. The house made Tiramisu was so light and fresh. My house salad was so fresh with local lettuce and tomato’s and a fantastic house Italian dressing. I don’t often leave reviews but this one was so well deserved how...
