This was a great place to stay for a trip to Yellowstone. Staff is friendly and helpful when we needed something. Check in was easy and lobby area kept clean. The breakfast was good each morning. We enjoyed the pool, it is well maintained. Used the laundry facility and it was good too.|My family of 5 stayed for a few days to enjoy the Cody area and Yellowstone, so we had a 2Q with sofabed room. The space itself was adequate, but Hilton did a poor job of the design. Awkward placement of the TV, not enough seating in the room, no freezer in the mini fridge, not enough hooks to hang any wet towels (since they are replaced everyother day, I'd like a dry towel to reuse), the light switches are in weird positions in relation to the room (ex toilet room switch is in the sink area), trash cans are tiny and fill up quick (again because of service being everyother day), the table lamp is adhered to the desk so we couldn't move it and was in the way of the TV, and finally some weird toilet and sink features (minor but noticeable; right side flush and off centered sink faucet). All of these are design flaws and no fault of the staff, but stated as feedback for Hilton. We prefer functionality and practicality over design...
Read moreUpon checking in the lady at the front desk was not very nice I asked her about an addition 10 dollars charged and she said there is a 25 dollar fee I will get back but never explained the extra 10 dollars. I came an hour after check in because the room wasn’t ready and once we got in the room we noticed there was food all down two of the walls. I told the cleaning lady about it and she went to hand me a magic eraser to clean it when it was never cleaned from the person before. I had to ask her to clean it. The room wasn’t wipes down cause I found what looked like watermelon seeds everywhere, in the drawers and on the floor. One of the beds had hair and stains on the sheets. Had to sleep in the same bed because the other one was gross. I do have pictures of all these things. The shower didn’t work right, when you tried to pull on the metal thing to make it come out of the shower head only half the water would come through. I ended up cutting my hand messing with it to try to get it to work. I was told by the front desk they were all sold out of other rooms unless I want to pay even more to stay in a suite no sorry...
Read moreLong story short, I booked through Expedia but I noticed it said only one room left. When I went inside to check in I spoke to Jim, the front desk manager. He was surprised as they were all out of rooms. He confirmed I was in the system but said they had sold out of rooms some time ago. I was starting to get nervous as I was thinking I was going to have to find another place and then fight on the phone with Expedia to get a refund. But Jim saved the day. Jim called the Cody Hotel down the road and arranged for me to stay there. He then gave me the cash to pay for the room. I couldn't believe it. I don't think I have ever been in a situation like that. The mistake was no fault of Hampton Inn but Jim treated me like a valuable customer, took cash from his own till and set me up down the road (The Cody Inn was great as well!). I cant say enough about how well I was treated in Cody and especially by Jim. Hampton Inn, give this man a raise! Thanks Jim, you made our stay very special and we hope to...
