Food was great... Vibe was not great. I've not felt so micromanaged in a dining experience since middle school. There are laminated signs posted literally everywhere telling you what not to do! It's a small place, and busy; owing to the decent food and low saturation of breakfast joints in this tourist town. It is not a friendly or welcoming atmosphere. We were told "it's a twenty minute wait" ( which is fine), in a tone that reeked of "you should go elsewhere". We waited outside in the beautiful weather... However, the seating outdoors is literally COVERED in laminated paper signs proclaiming the reservation of said seating for those folks with disabilities. There were no such folks in evidence. Regardless, we stood. Then we were told we could wait in the car, they'd come find us. We chose to not. Curiously, whilst we awaited our sustinence, one staff member looked to and fro on the front porch, called twice or thrice for some hungry patrons to be, then immediately took us in because we were present and next. In other words, they may NOT come find you in your car if they don't know and recognize you. The signage motif continued once inside. Literally every table has a sign ( two if located in a corner), tactfully but not quite politely telling you to hurry up, eat, and leave so they can subject the next patron to the order of life. It's tough to enjoy one's meal while the sign in your periphery is constantly reminding you to GTFO. The staff was polite, but seemed rushed as well.

If you don't like someone, this is the best place to invite them. We had a big trailer with us and there was a place nearby where we could park and go to the restaurant. We came and despite the fact that there was a free table for 4 people, we were asked to wait because they didn't want to seat the two of us at such a big table. Okay, we decided to wait. We ordered basic food. I ordered chicken steak, hash browns and eggs, toast. My husband ordered the same thing only with ham. I got my chicken with no chicken flavor, just bread crumbs and tasteless gravy. My husband got 4 tiny paper thin overcooked pieces of ham. It all looked sad. The toast was carefully placed on the overcooked side so you couldn't see it. The owner of the restaurant is very greedy, he or she crammed a lot of tables into a small place. The tables are shabby and very small. In the toilet, the hand soap did not have a pump, the trash can was overflowing. And there is this thing for towels that you have to twist on the side to get your paper towel! I have not seen such crap anywhere for a long time. Crumbs from the tables are simply swept onto the floor and all this can be seen on the floor. But the main thing is that the food was ugly and tasteless with gravy from the supermarket. And yes, we waited for this food for about 30 minutes! I do not recommend it to anyone and will never go back there!

Where to start?…Seriously, this restaurant and the family/people who run it take breakfast, service, ‘common sense’ rules and America to a whole new level of ‘reverence’. I have NEVER I’m my whole life had diner food plates come out cleaner, more organized and perfect than this place! Other reviews criticized the ‘micromanaged style of leadership’, but they just care about the details and assume others do too! The ‘boss’ irons a seam in her jeans, that kind of care for detail and discipline translates into the best run and tasting food around! We loved the hash browns, cheese omelets and blueberry pancakes! Epic tasting food and temperature hot. The coffee was normal for a diner…and they give you your own container so you can drink it at your leisure. The walls are covered with ‘Americana’ and reminds you of how huge but interconnected our country is…a proud family sharing their passion with locals and tourists! Thanks for the experience! It was worth the 15-20 minute wait.

The most inconsiderate staff I have ever encountered in my entire life. I would give this place no stars if I could. The staff I encountered was very disconnected and impatient, and treated me like I was garbage (which they might be able to profit from). When I entered the restaurant, the woman at the register was taking a lengthy time with some other people so I asked if I needed to wait to be seated. She immediately replied in a combatative manner, and said I needed to sign up on the waiting list (which was an old notepad with only one other name signed up, and there were two open tables). Then a server, almost before I signed in, took me to a table. The server rushed me a lot, set a menu down (did not explain it until I asked her if there wad still breakfast), then went over to a table of women and asked them to move to another table! They were in a state of disbelief, but did relocate as they were basically forced (they were unexpectedly pressured very suddenly). I think it was because the server saw that they had an open seat and could put more people there for more tips by more efficiently seating the customers. It is important to note that the restaurant was of the very cheapest setup, from the old cash register, to the tables, floor, to the space which was minimal and all the customers were packed in like a passive crowd. So it is not like it was set in a quality setting. I paid for the coffee up front which the woman at the register said was $0.26 (she knew I was leaving because of their trashy conduct, so she was trying a desperate rebate, but I paid the full price). I told her I only paid because the coffee was already poured (even though I did not touch it) and them told her and the server they were the rudest staff I have ever seen (which is the truth). I did not eat any food so I couldn't judge that. But maybe the crowd there does not care if they are treated like trash if the food is pleasant (they apparently have...
