This was my first time visiting the Norris Penrose Event Center to attend my son's cross country meet. I was frustrated with how the traffic was managed. Instead of directing traffic, the staff just closed the roads using chains for vehicles entering and exiting the parking area. It didn’t really feel like a designated parking area—just an open spot. When I tried to leave, I found that all the exit roads were locked with chains. I ended up driving over a hill, hoping to find another way out, but there wasn't one. Eventually, I found a woman who worked in the parking area and asked her to open the gate so I could leave. Overall, it was a poorly planned event for managing traffic, and I think the staff could benefit from some training.

Was here for a rodeo as a vendor selling bath bombs in October, everyone was great, the event coordinator didn't communicate some stuff but they aren't part of the event center. The majority of the center is OUTSIDE, which I didn't know until I got there, so knowing that would have been helpful as, again, bath bombs (natural & water soluble)... Bad weather (rain and heavy wind)... Yeah that's a combo I didn't want to sign up for, but apparently did without knowing. Everything got squared away in the end, though. The event center has food and drinks as well as covered seating with an open center area of the arena where the rodeo would take place. Gravel/dirt parking lot (too be expected).

I found this place horribly frustrating. It may have just been the event itself and/or the organization, but it was chaos. There was a long walk without much seating. There was confusion about parking and where the actual event area was located. The flooring was incredibly uneven and I kept tripping to the point where I just gave up and left. I say this because I normally walk with a cane. If you have any limitations with walking and use additive devices, this is not a place you would enjoy going.

I loved being at NFR Open Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo on Saturday night. I think the seat numbers are too close together, people were cramped, since it was a sell out crowd. A total remodeling job for seats would be good, before next summer. I liked the announcers, but couldn't always figure out what they were saying, the microphone system could use some help. I watched the rodeo later on the Cowboy Channel and the sound seemed way better. It was great to have Amy Wilson interview all the winners at the end. I know it hard to keep people from walking around during the rodeo, but seemed like people were always walking in front of me, while things were happening in the arena I wanted to see. I think the prices for drinks, were a bit much $5 for pop, seemed more than it needed to be. Had to park across the road in dirt parking lot, which was okay, was able to get out of there pretty quickly. 21st Street was the way to go for both getting there and leaving. Haven't decided if I will try to go next summer or not, unless I can get a Box Seat with more room, unless you all remodel the grandstand seating. It was good to have a stadium cushion, since it was a long rodeo and a lot time to sit on non comfortable seats in the...

I rode through the place today and was completely shocked at what I saw.I use to work and live out there and the whole time the shower house had to be clean and neat. I saw where someone is living there and the windows are trashy, crap hanging in the windows,a junky looking mini bike out front and the homeless are cleaner than that. Kyle park terminated me for being messy yet now he's letting this ghetto mess go on.when the crew I has the pleasure to work with clearly was a far better crew than what is out there now. The center has the potential to be the best place for miles but it is plain to see its going to hell in a hand basket. I don't know who the operation manager is but sure not doing a good job with keeping the place appealing. I'm really ashamed at how the shower house looked. Like white trash...

So I showed up to the north Penrose event center about catering and food trucks for their events and I was met by this man who called himself the manager and in my entire life I never thought I could meet somebody this childish and rude he kicked me off the property without even letting me speak and as I was leaving because he wouldn't give me his name or a higher up above him name or number I was met by a second man and as I was trying to speak to him the first man kept interrupting screaming about how everything in this place is his and wouldn't let me talk to the second man so he also asked me to leave the property. Hands down the most unprofessional experience I have ever had in my life and I don't think in the slightest that it could get any...
