The hotel itself is clean, easy enough to navigate. I appreciate that the hotel offers free use washing machines though you have to provide your own soap (also for sale in the lobby) The public areas are nice and clean for the most part. The computer is in a very open space amongst all the breakfast tables, I'm not a fan of that. Would like to see it have some amount of privacy. The room was a good size, the kitchenette was well suited for cooking your own meals, they even provide detergent for the dishwasher. The fridge has an ice maker which is another plus. Two types of pillows were appreciated. Bed was comfortable, and I like that the room runs on a thermostat. The breakfast bar has a decent spread, the waffle makers have two size options, multiple coffee types, soda. There are 4 hot items every day, but the variety each day was next to non-existent. For the week and a half I was there it would alternate between biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, a protein or hash browns. The other day would be protein, hash browns, and pre made cheese omelettes. Really would've liked to see more options. Additionally both the soda dispenser and juice dispenser each had an option out of order for the entire stay. The exterior seating areas are nice, two on demand fire pits, plenty of chairs and tables, two propane grills free for guests to use. The hot tub was absolutely fantastic, my only complaint was the dial to turn it on was tucked away inside the pool area, rather than immediately adjacent to it in the outside. There is a small dog walk, would've liked for it to be a bit bigger. The bag station though was never stocked with bags. There's some pretty good views of the mountains. The biggest reason I'm giving this two stars is for a massive safety issue. There is a major sink hole in one of the parking spaces, and a smaller one along the backside driving path. The biggest one is merely marked off with a single stretch of thin rope. I can not understand why the biggest one is not at minimum completely fenced off. They're both major injuries waiting to happen, especially if a family happens to let their kid wander. Additionally I had some issues with the hotel not following corporate policy regarding reward nights. A friend used his points to book a room for me as his plus one, initially they did not let me check in on my own, saying it was against policy But the rewards FAQ and corporate both state the rewards can be used to book stays for others. The agent made an exception after I made a clear effort to show I wasn't just some scammer. We've actually ended up having to book additional nights at a normal rate and corporate is going to refund the amount and remove the points that should've been used for the reservation.

I’ve stayed at hotels over 3 different continents and honestly this one takes “the cake” for being the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever used my hard earned money to stay at. My family and I stayed here a couple days ago over the weekend and it took me a couple days to come up with the best way to describe my stay and hopefully help others stay very far away from this place. So, let’s begin on checking in with the front desk agent Allen. During checking in I had a conversation with him and how he “couldn’t wait to go home and start getting hammered on fathers root beer” also had a conversation with him about how my kids were driving me “crazy” in the car and he thought it would be funny to do the “redneck babysitter” by putting “duct tape over their mouths”. After having this conversation with him I kind of had a feeling how this weekend was going to go. ||Upon checking in to the room shortly after, my son and I wanted to make the sofa bed, unfortunately there was no complete bedding in the bag in the closet. No pillows and no comforter or and blanket. Having to go downstairs since no one would pick up the phone at the front desk I had the “joy” speaking with Allen and he was “annoyed” that I needed these things that should’ve been in the room to begin with! He said he had to walk to the linen closet on each floor to get the pillows but he didn’t have the comforter or and blanket. After going to the first floor linen closet he was “annoyed” he had to go up to the second floor linen closet to get a couple pillows. Following him up there he found only one body pillow and said “there was no pillow cover for it and that’s all he could find”.||After dealing with that I took my 4 kids down to the pool, going down there it was packed with people, kids were packed in the hot tub so that was out of the question and kids jumping and doing cannonballs in the pool too so that was chaos. Unfortunately, half way during the time being down there the area had no pool towels so everybody was going upstairs to the front desk to ask Allen for some including myself. You would’ve thought he would’ve just brought some down but nope, he was making everyone feeling like we were “bothering him” including myself and my wife who asked him when she walked in the front entrance to ask him for some bath towels for our room. She mentioned to me when we got back to our room that he was “very rude” about it when she asked him for bath towels. Why he works at a hotel front desk when it takes the certain personality and customer service aspects is beyond me.||We get back to our room and tried connecting to the internet and let me tell you, out of all the years staying at a hotel I’ve never experienced such SLOW and unreliable internet speeds in my lifetime and running the Speedtest on my phone trying to see why it was so slow explained why. I had 3.5 mbps download and 1.5 mbps uploads. It was SO bad and it was like this both nights we were there. Honestly, if you’re the type of the person who relies on quality internet speeds you need to look at another hotel. You would think being such a new property they would have better speeds, nope it was awful.||After dealing with that, we were also dealing with the barking dog across from us, the kitchen sink was broken where you had to have a hand on the faucet and the knob to turn it on because if you didn’t the water would go everywhere. ||The next morning we went downstairs to try the breakfast and that wasn’t great either either, I’ve stayed at dozens of Staybridge hotels over the years and the breakfast was bad if I had to rate it. The cinnamon waffle batter was “very watery”, everything was out of stock about 30 minutes before close, you’d be better off going to McDonalds for breakfast.||Later that day I was at the front desk and asked the lady at the desk if I could put my good friend on my reservation so she could check in without me. To my surprise, I was told “no and that this is an ownership decision” also that I would have to leave the hospital that I was at visiting my friends sick child to be at the desk so she could check in. I was so upset because of this. NEVER had I ever stayed at any property before where I could not do this out of the 10 or so times I’ve asked to do this. I was at the desk, gave permission and my friend is showing her ID and using her own method of payment! I couldn’t believe it. The front desk knew the situation and still would do nothing about it. I was told the GM Raj would contact me about this, nope, never heard anything from him about this. So, after a couple hours later and later that afternoon my friend, her husband and 2 young kids were forced to sit in the lobby for 30 minutes or so until I came back from the hospital so I could be with her at the desk to show my ID and so she could show her ID and give her OWN credit card to check in to the room to the SAME women that I asked if I could do this earlier in the day too, after that happened I knew I would never be back.||The next morning while checking out I gave my room key to the front desk agent who had 3 or so people behind the desk including small children I might add and I not one of them asked me “how my stay was” or anything to the matter. I’m telling you once again as someone who has been a GM of a Marriott Fairfield/Residence Inn this is the “worst ran” hotel I’ve ever stayed at and customer service is just so bad. I will be getting in contact with IHG and as a platinum member I will tell all my family and friends to stay very far away from this hotel. I wouldn’t want even my worst enemy to even stay here. I absolutely promise you will...
