Days Inn by Wyndham Concordia — Hotel in Concordia

Location is absolutely perfect it’s literally right off the interstate it was quite so no disturbance during sleep hours which is a plus! The pillows are very used but still comfortable- there is usually a blanket that goes between the white sheet and the decorative sheet on top how ever we didn’t have the blanket so the only thing we had to sleep with was the single sheet the heat worked well in the room. I did utilize the shower with my sandals on the tub was very nasty looking but we had been on the road 14 hours and needed a shower there was black hair on the bathroom floor (I’m a red head and my husband is bald) the walls was very dirty there was even a black hand print next to the shower there was dirt marks all over the walls there is a small whole in the wall with what seems to be paper shoved it the carpet had not been vacuumed well there was still filthy and debris next the bed between the night stand and bed the trash cans had dried liquid in them- I debated about posting this as I have read most of the reviews on here the response from the whole hotel is not at all taking responsibility for the housekeeping department instead the response is we are in the middle of remodeling the room we had was not a remodeled room the tv was very very out of date there is border at the top of the walls I liked it though it is pretty border. The front desk attendant was very polite there was no issue with negativity or hatefulness the biggest issue is the cleanliness of the room. I debated posting this because I seen where a man had reviewed and written about being charged for damages when he had not been the one to do the damages the response of the hotel targeted him in the review and again accused him of the damages how ever we brought no luggage in with us the only thing we brought in was our sleeves and our phones no purse no back pack absolutely nothing else but our selves I would hope the hotel does not accuse us or charge us for the small whole in the wall with possibly paper of some sort stuck in it bc it was in fact there when we arrived at 10:30 pm and we had nothing that could even cause the damage nor would we do such a thing. I’m posting this review bc I review pretty much every where we go in our travels along with photos to show I’m also in hope that respondent from the hotel doesn’t lash out as they have in the previous reviews negativity but take responsibility and make improvements check the rooms after they have been cleaned hold housekeeping responsible for their job regardless if the hotel is $30 a night or a $400 night cleanliness is very important. We arrived at 10:30pm and we was checked out by 9:30 am. Sleep was well front desk was polite the room was very spacious the atmosphere was relaxing location is perfect - cleanliness is the biggest issue the breakfast could use some improvement as well we didn’t grab anything from there as the containers the items was in did not look clean and the cereal dispensary emptied and cleaned then actually refilled. This hotel sucked. My mom and I went here to have my birthday party. I had 5 of my friends with me. My mom called prior to warn them about how many people were coming asked about the prices and even asked about the pool. They said that having that many people was ok and that the pool and hot tub were currently working. My mom also specifically asked for a room with a king and another CONJOINING room with 2 queens. The lady that was one the phone said that that was possible. Once we got to the hotel we checked in and went upstairs to look at the rooms. When we get in our room we find out that there's a king bed in our room. We thought that was a mistake so we just went back down to the front desks to ask about another room. They did let us get another room but it was no longer conjoining with my mom. We go to check out that room but when we first walked in we were met with the hottest room I've ever been in and an unpleasant musty smell. We immediately check for bugs checked sheets and checked the overall cleanliness of our room. We find POOP smeared on the wall by the toilet paper. The toilet paper was used. The sheets had sooooooo many stains. I went down to the front desk just to let the lady know that there was literally poop on the wall and I very politely asked her to clean it. She then gave me attitude like isn't that her job??? Anywho we decided to check the pool hoping that will make up for the horrible experience that we just had. But no the walked in the pool room and immediately got a headache from how much chlorine there was. We then walk over to the hot tub and it was GREEN AND HAD DEAD BUGS IN IT. The pool was also freezing. You couldn't pay me anything to get me to swim in that. Later that night we go to get ice and some lady asked for our room number. My mom then decided to ask her why she needed it. She then said that my mom called saying there was only 3 people that were going to be there but my mom CLEARLY stated that there was going to be more than three. Around midnight I went down stairs hoping to find some spoons but I ended up having to ask the two lady's. I POLITELY asked for spoons for 6 girls. They only gave me 2 then when I walked off they started at my friends and I giving us dirty looks and talking about us. I personally think this hotel needs to be shut down. It's the WORST hotel I've ever ever ever been too and the most disrespectful staff ever. The only reason we stayed was because everyone else was booked. We will NEVER EVER be coming back. 10/17/2015 This hotel is disgusting. My sister and I would have left if we hadn't been too tired to keep driving. First, the hallways were covered in funk and handprints, and it smelled awful. The toilet in the room was covered in dried urine and splattered fecal matter with pubic hair still attached to the seat. My sister got in the shower and saw the tub wasn't draining, then found a huge hairball on the drain. The bathroom mirror had not been cleaned. I was hoping it was just an honest mistake, so I went down and asked to switch rooms. She put us in the room next door, and it was just as filthy. There was food all over the walls, hair on the bathroom floor, and a nasty mirror. The carpet was absolutely filthy and faded, and should've been replaced a long time ago. As I went to get in the bed, I saw stuff on the pillowcase. I took some tissue and scraped it, and it flicked off. It appeared to be dried boogers or something similar. Finally, we went down and got clean sheets and made the beds ourselves. We checked out this morning, and Deven Patel, the manager, said that her housekeepers are older and they probably just missed it. She would not let me talk about both rooms, she only wanted to hear about the room we stayed in. We also learned that they had put someone in the first room we left about an hour and a half after we switched rooms. Her solution was that because we did stay instead of leaving, she could only refund me $25. I routed the situation up to corporate because this hotel is not managed well at all.
