M&M Motel — Hotel in Connell

I am pleased to bring another 5 star review. The M&M Motel is nicer than many hotels I stay in. As a professional traveler, I'm in roughly 40 hotel/ motels every year. I stay in some of the finest hotels and I've ended up in unbelievable dumps🤣. This one is a winner. Very clean, large, bright and inviting room. All basic amenities are included along with an in room keurig. Check in was a breeze. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. This is not a "gross motel" in any way. You can tell it's cared for well. The price: way lower than the same room in a comparable hotel/motel. And this is cool... a private balcony! I will add a pic but I already slept in the bed. Trust me, the bed was made perfectly and looked beautiful when I checked in lol.

Connell is not exactly a tourist destination with an abundance of 4 star hotels but if you have reason to be in the area, The M&M Motel is a great choice! Very basic with some huge added benefits. Very large room. Although advertised as having a 'kitchenette', it is a fully equipped kitchen in miniature with cooktop, minifridge, microwave and dishes /silverware. full service grocery store is 2 blocks away, which makes home meal prep easy. Room was very clean. Old style motel parking outside your room. Could easily operate from here for several days or even weeks. On site resident manager (Patricia) is very helpful and always available. Only issue was bed not the best (they may have rooms with newer beds) but all in all, fit the need at an affordable price and...

The worst motel I have ever stayed in. Room was dirty when first got in, garbage left in room. Cinder brick walls makes it feel like a prison. Beds were comfy enough, only because as an employee told me they were brand new a couple weeks ago.

The door lock wouldn't work right, had to stand there and insert and reinsert key card over and over until finally it would randomly open up. I spoke to the front desk about it, and instead of fixing it or getting me a different room they told me to pretty much just deal with it.

Tv worked maybe half the time. Air conditioner struggled hard just to get the room to a livable temperature. And the whole hotel smells like athletes foot, sweat and spoiled milk.
