I rarely write reviews but when I do it is in an effort to prevent something from happening to others or to share the joy of my experience. This one is to prevent this from happening to others. The hotel was in a huge construction area causing the entrance to be blocked necessitating the use of the Love Truck Stop. This was perhaps unpreventable as there was no notification that this was the case. walking in, the lobby smelt like chlorine from the indoor pool. Ok, we didn't hang out there so not a deal breaker by any means. The hallway in which our room was located was dingy and had a moldy carpet smell, but again, we did not complain as this sometimes happens in older hotels. Our room had gnats particularly in the bathroom which we were constantly swiping to kill on the mirror. Still, not a deal breaker. We made the best of our 2 night stay. The day we got there the kids swan in the pool and there were no clean pool towels so the ones in our room were used that evening for showers. We returned to our room the next day and the cleaning lady was outside in our hallway and we asked whether she had been to our room yet as we needed replacement towels. She said they do not usually do stayovers unless asked. I asked if I could give her our dirty towels for replacement and she said yes. She returned with only 4 towels and I advised that we needed washcloths and hand towels to which she replied that they were in the dryer and she would have to bring them back later which was fine by us. She never returned with any replacements. We checked out the next day and stayed in the area visiting family when we got a text from our credit card company that $100 had been charged by this hotel. My husband drove to the hotel to find out what it was for and learned from the desk clerk that it was for stolen towels. He immediately told them what happened and they told us we had to speak with the manager who of course was not there. The next day we called and spoke to him explaining we had given the towels to the person working that day and asked for replacements which we never received. He said he would check with that person and get back to us. My husband called again asking to speak with the manager and left a message. He did call back and stated that employee was off that day due to a family emergency. We called the next day and he said that housekeeping stated they had not been accounted for. Now this was not even for towels, it was for missing washcloths, hand towels and bath mat. We left the four towels we were given by the housekeeper. My husband immediately called the corporate office and will be filing a dispute with our credit card company. My recommendation is that you NOT stay...
Read moreAnything but Quality. We booked a room ahead of time because we would be arriving pretty late; around midnight. We went in for check in and the lobby was so dimly lit, I thought the place was closed. It took 20 minutes for someone to finally come up to the front desk to help us, but to be fair, he was the only one there and clearly a new hire. The employee was pretty helpful, but that's where the positives end.
He told us our room number and we went up to the second floor to head in, get comfortable, and go to bed. However, the room we walked in to was clearly not suitable for habitation. It looked like it was in the middle of being renovated. The bathroom ceiling was ripped out, toilet was not hooked up, there was no TV, bed sheets were nowhere to be found, and the mini fridge door was on one of the beds. We brought these issues up with the man at the front desk and he offered to put us in a different room. We thought our troubles were over.
He led us down the horribly stained hall to a new room with a dead roach at the door of the room across from us. We mentioned the roach to him and he shrugged it off like it wasn't a big deal. It was still there when we left the next day.
The room itself was disgusting. The first thing we noticed was the mold on the bathtub and on the ceiling above the bathtub. No chance we were showering in there. The pull out couch was the next issue we ran into. The mattress was so thin and lumpy and clearly dirty. There were also no extra sheets, so we used the sheets from one of the beds. The white sheet had a giant yellow stain on it. I didn't trust the sheets or pillows, so I used my own pillow and blanket. We opened up the curtains for a little bit of light in the room and they were coated in mildew. I fell asleep fearing bed bugs and black mold spores blowing around the room from the a/c.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR ANYONE NO MATTER THE COST. NO HUMAN BEING SHOULD HAVE TO PAY TO SLEEP IN A MOLDY, DIRTY,...
Read moreI was there over the week with my family which includes my 3 small children over the weekend when we first walked in there was a strong smell of bleach from the pool that about knocks you down then the wall paper was peeling off the wall from previous rains happening is what we were told also mold smell coming from our room dirty bed sheets as well. All of this was ok but what was not ok is the next day my wife and I took the kids to swim in the pool I stepped outside to smoke where the outside patio area was 4 plastic chairs which even this was ok but standing outside I witnessed a boy that worked there with his hat on backwards white tee shirt and jeans on walk up to a black Kia soul and stand there he took something from her and he exchanged money to her now from what I can only assume this is, is a drug deal going right down in front of me about a hour later I went back to the outside patio smoking area and I saw the same guy in beside the dumpsters area with the door wide open with a big garbage container holding the door open smoking meth from a pipe I yelled at him that my kids where there and I would be calling the police I walked in to tell my wife I was calling the police the guy that is a employee there had hurried up and left with in 10 minutes of me saying this to him on a motorcycle he looked me in the eyes as he was leaving and proceeded to give me the middle finger I did call the police but he was already gone so they said they would look for him but I doubt they found him the next day was Sunday and of course the manager was not there and I did not see this man anymore probably because we left by 7am and the earliest I had seen him before was 10 am if a hotel is gonna allow their employees smoke meth on the job untelling what else...
