We were stopped on I-75 north of Lexington without moving for exactly an hour due to a tractor-trailer on its side and burned up. Our plan had been to make it to Bristol, TN by the time we stopped, but that was not the case. We were exhausted. Normally, we would never stop at a Knight's Inn, but the ad in the hotel magazine for KY said, "Park at your door," so I knew is was a single-story motel. The name had been changed to something like, "Corbin Inn," but it was obviously an old Knight's Inn. We can't speak for others or other rooms. We were in 109. Everything worked. Everything was clean. Not only did the door to the bathroom close and lock properly - one of my personal measures of a well-managed and maintained hotel - but the bathroom overhead light had a working fan. (So many hotels and motels have stopped providing these.) The most charming thing to my wife was the red microwave atop the matching red refrigerator. It appeared to be baked enamel like an old Coke machine. It was advertised for less than $50, and when taxes were included, the final bill was still under $50. I have no complaints. If I'm ever forced to stay in Corbin again, I will most certainly stay at this motel. What more can I say? For that particular stay, for that price, and for that location, I would say it was a 5-star experience in a 2-star motel in Corbin, KY, and our best experience, hotel or motel, on a 3900-mile, multi-state driving trip that included stays in TX, AR,...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! BED BUGS!!!!!!!! I stayed at this Inn Memorial day weekend 2018 with my family and stayed in room 106 for like 30 min until we found Bedbugs and stright away went to the office the girl in the office said she couldnt do anything for us but move us into a new room and we would have to talk to the manager in the morning so my children and husband and I had to wake up my grand baby and repack everything and move rooms like at 1a.m then once we got settled in to our new room and got the grandbaby back to sleep we figured out the air was broken we suffered through it because by this time it was 2a.m the next day after getting no sleep due to a room as hot as 80 -90 ° we went down to the office again the girl that was there in the morning said shecould give us our money back for the next night but the manager had to refund the first night but he wasnt there so we left our number and asked if he would call as soon as soon as he came in we left but never got a call so my husband went back to see if he was there yet but to his surprise it was the same man who was in the lobby when he was talking to the lady that morning so my husband was pretty upset he told the man everything the man reluctantly gave us $50.00 back of the 71.00 the room cost us saying it was comming out of his own pocket and that they just replaced the AC in the second room which wasnt true so if you are smart DO NOT....
Read moreFree breakfast is a lie! VERY low-grade hotel NOT low key. King bed 1 night is $70. All rooms have depression era decor, resemblance of the attic in Deetz house in the film BeetleJuice. I visited a few times here, unfortunately, due to no availability literally anywhere else in the area. Rm 136 has mice roaming, & all rooms I've visited (Rm 126, 131, & 136) all has mild infestation of cock roaches. Last visit, kill count was 32. The buildings appearance isn't coincidental, it's badly deteriorating. The floors feel like elastic & squeak loudly, like only held with liquid nails & barely intact. Our latest & last stay we spent three nights, never received the first fresh towel while at work absent at time of housekeeping. If occupant fails to psychically request clean towels, you will not receive any! As we check out, owner inexplicably decides he will retain half the "damage" deposit. Cited a darkened washcloth & his belief of "oil" (he noticed I serviced my engine 2nd evening) being on the fitted sheet. Yet no "oil stains" on any other sheets? Truth being, as I tried to tell him, I accidentally dropped ashes (smoking room) on the bed, reaching across to extinguish my cigarette. Charged $25 for a $2 washcloth & a $5 fitted sheet (maybe less at hotel wholesale prices). However, those items he also retained, they'll be bleached &...
