Budget Inn Corcoran Near Tulare CA 43 — Hotel in Corcoran

I was able to call ahead and make a reservation. Due to the original place be booked this place here was my last option. The reviews are accurate. I'm a person who travels with bed linen towels so that part I didn't care about. Checking in wasn't an issue and I paid cash. The only thing that rubbed me wrong was being asked by the lady "Are you visiting the prison?" "They are the only ones who rent here" it felt as if the prison visitors need to be thankful they have a place to sleep. I entered the room and all of the reviews came to life. Just know that the maid service here is focused on making the bed and taking the trash out. If you are looking for swept floors, clean walls and unstained towels don't show up. Other than that for what it was worth I stayed and left when I planned to. If you plan to stay just travel with a flat sheet, pillow case, lysol and your towels you will be fine. Staff was friendly towards me, but made a racial remark about someone. The room was dirty. There was nail clippings, hair & just dirty floor. The towels are stained, I went & bought myself some new towels to use. The soap dispensers were broken, thankfully I travel with my own. I had double beds in my room. One was stained & the other was ok. There was a weird smell & I kept spraying air freshner while there. Microwave & mini fridge have weird odors. The tv had no sound. This was a one night stay, just needed to sleep & leave early the next morning. This is a perfect example of you get what you pay for. The price is cheap for a reason. Stayed last night till this morning. Didn’t notice it last night because it’s not like I use the peep hole to look outside. So I’m not staring at the door, but I woke up this morning and noticed someone took a non used feminine pad and stuck it to the door over the eye hole. Used or not the cleaning employees and the manager who says he checked the rooms prior to anyone staying in them himself did not notice it on the door. He said it was not there when he checked, implementing that I am the one who stuck it there. For one it’s not that time of the month and two I don’t use pads.
