Hampton Inn Corpus Christi: A Terrifying Night of Theft and Incompetence
My stay at the Hampton Inn in Corpus Christi descended into a terrifying ordeal that has left me profoundly disturbed and outraged. What transpired during my time there was not just a breach of security but a complete failure in basic hotel management and guest safety protocols.
In the dead of night, while I was asleep, my hotel room was unlawfully entered, and my personal belongings were stolen. My tablet, headphones, and other valuables vanished without a trace, stolen right from under the nose of the supposed security measures the hotel boasts. Waking to the realization that I had been violated in what should have been a secure sanctuary was an utterly chilling experience.
Upon discovering the theft, I immediately alerted hotel management and local law enforcement. The response from both parties was shockingly inadequate. The police arrived late and appeared disinterested in pursuing the matter with any urgency, compounding the sense of helplessness and fear I felt. Their lackadaisical approach left me questioning their commitment to protecting citizens and visitors alike.
Equally distressing was the indifferent and unhelpful response from the hotel staff. There was no empathy, no sense of urgency, and certainly no readiness to assist a guest who had just experienced a traumatic event under their care. The utter disregard for my safety and well-being was appalling and unacceptable.
Moreover, the condition of the room itself was abysmal. The furnishings were worn-out, the carpet stained, and the overall hygiene left much to be desired. It was evident that maintenance and cleanliness were not priorities for this establishment, further highlighting its disregard for guest comfort and safety.
In light of these egregious failures, I believe the Hampton Inn in Corpus Christi should be shut down immediately pending a thorough investigation. The security lapses, coupled with the negligent response from both the hotel management and law enforcement, warrant serious scrutiny. The staff should be thoroughly interrogated to determine their competence and adherence to security protocols, as their actions--or lack thereof--during this ordeal were deeply concerning.
In conclusion, my experience at the Hampton Inn in Corpus Christi was a nightmare that no guest should ever endure. The theft of my belongings while I slept, combined with the inadequate response and dismal conditions of the hotel, have shattered any confidence I had in this establishment. Until significant changes are made to ensure guest safety and proper management, I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. It fails to meet even the most basic expectations of security and hospitality, making it a risk that no traveler should take. I also spoke with the representatives at Hilton regarding the matter who were unphased by the lack of safety. Please do not stay here and do not support a company that has little interest in...
Read moreUpon arrival the front desk clerk named Laura was extremely rude and annoyed that I was there. No welcome, and all attitude, impatient ,and she let her face show it . I understand sometimes we have bad days so I let it go. For this trip I paid $400 including incidentals so we can have an indoor pool for the weekend. We get our keys ,I’m with my 3 young kids and we go up to change immediately for the pool. We go back down and we realize there’s butcher paper on a glass door. I peeked my head to see if it was the pool closed and it appeared to be. I turn around to apologize to my kids about it and here comes Laura screaming “HELLO CANT YOU READ THE SIGN!!!” I said “oh my gosh I’m so sorry I didn’t realize, the pools out of service?” She then screams again “WELL HELLO I MEAN CANT YOU SEE THE SIGN!!! OUT OF SERVICE” |I then told her I was with my kids and she needed to calm down with the screaming because she was rude to me the second I walked in and for no reason. |She then screams again “I MEAN CMON READ ITS RIGHT THERE” |I then told her again that she needed to relax|Laura then laughed and said “YEA OK I MEAN” and walks off shaking her head.|I told her “yea ok you need to calm down”|I then asked her at that moment for her name and she ignored me and walked into the office and closed her door .|So I waited for her to walk to the front window and I had to ask twice. She gave me her name and I said thank you and walked away.||I gathered my things upstairs to go out with my kids and 20 minutes later I went back down . I saw her at the front desk and asked for the mangers name. She did not make eye contact and was typing on her computer. She barely opens her mouth ,answers me in a low voice and I couldn’t hear the name she gave me. I asked her to repeat the name and she yells “ VIC!” So I asked “Ok ,And when is he going to be here?”|She said “Monday”|So I asked “who will be here tomorrow then?”|Laura says “I don’t know not me”||This is possibly the worst case of customer service I’ve ever dealt with . And it was for no reason that I caused . ||Aside from that , we find old used cups by our coffee machine with old water and white residue that are supposed to be replaced when you clean the room correctly. The bed also had a lot of stains on it . I go back to tell Laura about it and she doesn’t say anything . I just left the cups with her,I told her it was disgusting and I wanted it documented as well and I left back to my room. ||When we went to the gym at 10:00 pm ,she and her coworker stated the gym closed at 10 pm and the door stated it’s open until 12 am. Online it says 24/7.||NOTHING ONLINE IS ACCURATE. POOL IS CLOSED AND GYM IS NOT OPEN 24/7||The facility is dirty ||Everyone else after this incident was very kind to me. It was just her . Laura. And for $400 ,NOT WORTH IT.||I can’t believe Hampton Inn hired her. She should not be at the front desk. Maybe housekeeping would be more suitable so she has no direct interaction with...
