Due to there was no Availability at other Hotels in the area we stayed here for 2nights. Wasn't until the second night I noticed alil more things that just didn't feel right about the place. Let me start off by the main entrance and the Hotel clerk. His attitude was pleasant and we even joked around. The waiting area was a nice color red and black freshly painted and the lighting fixtures were even nice. He started to tell my Husand that his family had took over the property and had remodel the rooms. So of course I was like hmmm couldn't wait to see our room and even more b/c it was located by the pool. What a disappointment after seeing our double full-size bed room. As I walked in the I noticed the furniture it was a very nice color black with silver. And as for the beds 1 could tell right away these beds have not been updated in awhile they seemed more like twin beds. As soon as we sat on 1 bed it made noise. I looked at the floor and it had not been swept or mopped. The tub still had hair inside of it. And along the walls were dusty. The towels were not washed right they still had other ppl.s hair on them and the blankets were stained and don't get me started on their pillows they were nasty & dirty just calling to be trashed out. Which might tell me when washing there towels blankets and sheets they are stuffing the machines & items are not being washed right. And by seeing the main cover had confirmed my thought bc they were dirty. Grossed me out I'm just thankful that I took my own pillows, blankets, & towels. I had to call the main office at 12am bc there was this family with kids yelling screaming running and being super loud no respect for others. The outside windows doors and stairways were super dirty stained. Lesson learned book ahead of time like always. And I know some ppl Google places but always keep in mind Don't be fooled by...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would have given a 5-star review however I don't feel that the owner is doing the city the fans that come from all over the world to see this historical landmark and he denies everyone and anyone the story and comments that he wishes to erase her existence or memory from that location I understand that it's not exactly the best thing to be remembered for a nationwide Superstar possibly one of the biggest stars in the music industry was murdered in his hotel but unfortunately that's also what brings the attractions to the city and the fact that he basically dishonorably acknowledges her existence is really insulting to the Nationwide huge fan base and I do believe the only reason that hotel gets any attraction is due to where it's located and Selena other than that there's no reason for anyone to stay at this hotel there are cheaper more run-down hotels I'd rather stay at then to be insulted or insult the queen by allowing myself to stay there when someone disrespects her memory so horribly what he is trying to do is getting the opposite reaction of what he was hoping maybe he'll think twice and try to change this I not only write as a guest and a fan of the Superstar but I also write reviews for hotels of historical history and travel throughout the us to stay in them and write about them and this is probably going to be one of the only hotels I have written a negative Nationwide review about in a well-known magazine because of the disrespect that he shows the people and of course the queen herself the family the fans deserve better Hospitality when coming to historical landmark whether or not he approves or dislikes what happened the point is he knew what he was purchasing and what happened in that hotel before purchasing it and he still chose to don't try to erase...

On the positive, the lady at the front desk and the house keeping lady was very nice and helpful. When we first entered the room, the floor was strangely wet. I assumed it was because the room had just been mopped by house keeping (there is no carpet.) However, the floor never dried. It had a thick layer of what appeared to be condensation.
Pros: Shower was piping hot (definitely out of the ordinary considering the type of motel it is.) Both my kids and I took long showers and never ran out of hot water. A.C. blew nice cold air and was surprisingly quiet. Room had a mini fridge, freezer and microwave, all of which worked. Did a thorough bed bug check (OCD style) and it appeared that there weren't signs of any. Regardless, I was extremely paranoid about it the two days we stayed there.
Cons: Bathroom was very dirty. There was black mold on the walls. Hair all over from previous residents (cringe!) The bathroom flooded with water the second day after showers. I had just given up on this whole thing by now and just dealt with it. The drain in the shower barely drained, and where the drain stopper was supposed to be was just a hole in the wall. Spiders. Big spiders. In both beds. After that we started getting really paranoid and checking for spiders and bed bugs with our phone lights every five minutes. That made me discover that the beds and bed sheets were incredibly dirty and full of other people's hair, stains, and dead skin flakes. Gross!!!! Couldn't even relax or enjoy ourselves with the bug paranoia. I chose this motel because it was cheap, but I think next year on spring break I'll cough up the cash for something a little...
