This place is not great. Location is great distance from the Freehold Raceway Mall and outlet. The hotel staff is good and welcoming but the room was not clean. The bathroom had old towel hanging up that indicated to me that the room was not cleaned right or at all. This type of finding is what gives me pause in staying in low star rated hotels. Breakfast was subpar. It really has changed over the years on what Marriott provides as an incentive for BonVoy members. Room was outdated and you can tell from furnishings and just the string foul musky odor in the room. We had to go to buy candles so it could masked the smell. We didn’t change hotels since it was more of an inconvenience as we drove 18 hours prior to arriving.

I am gold and this room cost over 300. Room was not clean. I opened the pull out couch to find food, and kids toys falling out. I was too grossed out to sleep. No acknowledgement of gold status. Just terrible. No tv channels other than news and sports. Says they have hallmark but its not hallmark. Marriott is my favorite but this one not so much. Residence Inns seem to be renovating/ removing their pools which makes me upset as well. Less and less setvices for more and more money. I complained and was given extra points but at 330 a pop i want at least some money back . This is marriott they need to realize they serve us. Noisy with basketball and observers as well.

Suite 234: the smell is absolutely unbearable! We reported the issue at the front desk, cleaning crew came and cleaned and sprayed the room. It smelled good for five minutes, then it went back to old carpet smell! For the price we paid per night, this was absolutely UNaceptable! We understand this could be a long term rental for some travelers, they might have cooked, or had an animal with them, so please, MAINTAIN THE CARPETS! The smell is terrible!

I been a loyal bonvoy member for a long time now. I was a Ambassador Elite member but stop traveling because of Covid. So now I’m a Titanium Elite status with 145 days stay with bonvoy this year alone. I’m not writing this review over 1 rotten apple. This Residence inn is something else. Front desk manager Is a racist and a bully. He had something against me for what ever reason. I never stay at a hotel that is so rude and unprofessional. First off he didn’t like me and went out his way to make things really uncomfortable for me on my last day checking out. Not sure what his problem is but they should fire him. Came to my room around 1 pm with the house keeping lady and say he is there to do the wellness check. I asked him usually that is communicated with me somehow ahead of time. But his excuse is hotel policy if a tenant doesn’t get house keeping that they have to do a wellness check weekly. First off that is the 9th day and the day I’m checking out too. Like hotel policy? Hey buddy your 2 days late. A policy is a policy. It is set in stone. You cannot come 2 days late of your weekly wellness check Dan. He make this establishment look like a joke to be honest. I’m literally is checking out within a few hours but he want to make sure to make it uncomfortable for me and my guest. I opened the door for the two workers to come in, a wellness check means to make sure both guess is ok and alive right? We had the one bedroom suite. So my friend came out the room and now all four of us is in the living room part. So that should be it right? Both of the guest is here and in good health right? But no he took it upon himself to walk into the room and into the bathroom. For what? Thought it was a wellness check? But it wasn’t that. That was his excuse he used to come and make sure that me and my guest feel uncomfortable. And once they left I pretty much filed a complaint thru bonvoy and is in the process of filing a lawsuit. They over charged me almost $800. Yes it is a authorization hold/pending. But that just hold up my funds for no reason at all. I’m paid in full the day i checked out. But here I’m still suffering from what that establishment did to me. I know they know they just picking on me. Especially Dan he is just a racist bully. I’m sure he knows exactly what he is doing. And I just pray that no one else has to suffer like me. I’m not going let 1 individual that is miserable ruin the relationship I do have with bonvoy. I just recommend not to go there if that bully works there. I have everything to prove my story and my...

This is the third residence Inn I've stayed at in the last several months and it is definitely my least favorite. Most Residence Inns feel pretty nice and elegant in the rooms but this one does not. It wasn't like it was filthy but not very clean either. There was quite a bit of black mold on the bottom of one of the kitchen cabinets where I was supposed to put the pots and pans (had to put a towel down there), the cabinets all look fairly old and could definitely have been cleaner. (Lots of little what looks like toothpaste stains on the ones in the bathroom). The silverware and utensils all looked... mediocre. The wine opener was absolutely garbage (thank goodness I had brought my own) and some of the plastic cooking utensils look burnt so probably not very safe to cook with. There was only one water glass in my suite. There was a stain on my bedding and a large stain on the curtains. A few of the towels had hairs on them. The bath looked very meh, I like taking baths but don't think I'll do that here as it doesn't quite look clean enough. One of the lamps in my room was out when I arrived and could not be turned on. Oh and the room had a slightly unpleasant smell. The service has been a bit mixed. When I called about the lamps and towels a gentleman came up and helped me with them - we determined one entire outlet was not working - but he got the lamp hooked up and replaced my towels. He was very pleasant. When I called to ask if I could have some more hangers (they gave me 8, I'm here for work and needed more than that for my work clothes and coats) they told me they did not have any extras? I thought that was very strange. Another time I went down to the desk and stood saying hello for about ten minutes before someone came out to help me. The housekeeping staff was very pleasant. The pool was closed apparently, not that it says that anywhere. The breakfast was mediocre, fine I guess. Oh and they do not have RECYCLING!!! So disappointing and environmentally unfriendly... Next time I'm in the area I will probably try a different hotel. If this hotel was really cheap I'd probably think it was fine, but at this price point I...

When we arrived, we asked about the hours of the pool. It was stated that the pool was closed. When myself along with family that was there with us asked about using another Marriott we were told no it is owned by a different manager. Our rooms were supposed to be connected and they weren't. We had government/military rate and expectations for our stay. When we booked the hotel that is when of the reasons we booked this location because of the pool even a day before arriving there was nothing on Marriott's website or the hotel's website has to being closed. Once we got to the room we had issues with the TV and remote. The front desk staff had a non chalet attitude to all of our request and repairs. I had to request toilet tissue because none was in my room. When I started looking around the room their was a dirty toilet tissue roll in the closet, there was black lint all over the sheets for the sofa bed, the tub didn't look like it was cleaned the morning of or afternoon from the previous check out. I went to use the sink and looked under the sink and there was a empty peanut butter container. I have never been at a Marriott where the service, room quality has been subpar and the staff not having a care in the world except this is the owner's hotel. The hotel went against all the requirements and honor of a government/military official. The hotel should have made sure all guests knew about the pool. I had to also use the dryer at the facility and wasted a total of $4.00 has it didn't dry at all. I had to hang dry in my room. The gentlemen at the front seemed to already know it was an issue and laughed it off. This was not a laughing matter I lost 4.00 and didn't even get dry clothes. The owner needs to make major changes to this hotel and to upgrade the rooms. A notification should have been made to customers about the pool situation. I will not stay here ever again or any location associated...
