Crete Inn — Hotel in Crete

We needed a place to stay the nights before and after a Nebraska home football game. Lincoln's hotel's prices were pretty high, and it was just my dad and I so I thought we could stay at a budget motel for cheap, even if it wasn't IN Lincoln. This was perfect. The room itself was clean. It had a fridge and microwave. HD Directv. It's right off highway 33, so it was easy to get to. The hotel manager was extremely nice, easy going, and helpful. We came up from Kansas and the roads leading in and out of Crete were nice kept up. 30 minutes to the stadium. It took us about an hour longer to get to the stadium when we stayed IN Lincoln the week before. Also, we ate at 9th street bar and grill the next day in downtown Crete. Awesome home grown beef. If you don't want to pay Lincoln prices, and you don't expect much, just a clean place to stay, this is it. There are a lot of other benefits like location and price that make up for any luxuries it might be missing.. Whatever problems it had in previous reviews must have been fixed between the times those people stayed and when we did. Highly...

Went there to care for my sick college daughter. Brought medicine and bath stuff. The lobby was gross, no way I would eat breakfast there. Lots of people milling around that look like they live there. ||The manager said he had just gotten the room ready for guests and reluctantly I paid, he gave me cash back for the discount from the college rate when I told him we were with them. ||Got to room and there was dust all over. Paint splattered on tub, a HOLE, yes a HOLE in bathroom ceiling, my grandgirl had to get a spider out of it. ||There was no plug for the tub so i went back to the desk and he told me to put a washcloth in it. ||There is no way this could pass inspection. This Hotel was amazing. After having a horrid time at Super 8 and finding blood on our sheets at Super 8 we came across the road to this hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the owners were so nice! They gave us a great deal and we couldn't thank them enough. They truly cared and their hotel may not look fancy, and it's not top notch fancy but if you're like us and want a place to sleep and shower that is clean and comfy this place is great! We thank you guys so much. This hotel is the best place to stay here in Crete, I have nothing but wonderful things to say...
