Sadly my experience was not good. The first night we checked in, the room was fantastic. As we left the next morning to go to Marthas Vineyard, I received a phone message while on the ferry with this resort telling me we had to switch rooms as an " owner " was coming to that room. We were told originally that both nights would be in the same room. Long story short, we were at the mercy of the staff to make sure all of our belongings were moved. I was very uncomfortable with this. I felt our time at the Vineyard was overshadowed by our concern for our belongings. When we asked the manager why this was happening, we were told that a time share owner had booked it and we had no choice but to have complete strangers pack and move our belongings. I truly felt violated as we had our stuff all over the room and many things in drawers and cabinets. My husband asked if this happens often ( switching rooms) and the manager ( Holly) said " Yes, all the time". I had many irreplaceable items in the room and I prayed the move would cause no lost items. They reassured me that all would be moved safely. It wasn't. My husband's shorts were left hanging on the chair on the deck of the old room ( which he walked over to get himself after the manager could not " locate them" AND the new room had no view and lesser quality decor and furniture. Also, my Samsung rapid phone charger was gone. GONE!! I called to see if anyone had located it but they said they had not. They told me to go buy a new one and send them a bill. They never once apologized for the loss or inconvenience of not having my phone charger. The item needed to be ordered online which I will do ASAP although I doubt they will reimburse me. In the meantime I kept my phone off to preserve battery. All in all, the way the staff treated us made us feel " unwelcome " and " less important" than other guests. I was never so happy to leave a resort. Such a disappointment for 2 Virginians looking for a nice escape. It was our first experience on the Cape and possibly our last. In the future, I would recommend only staying here if you are a time share owner. Also I would give strong advice to the staff about how meaningful and impactful a simple yet sincere apology would have mattered to us as paying customers. The money we spent to stay here which was alot to us and was definitely not worth it. I felt like I had just flushed $180...

I’ve stayed here twice with my family. My review reflects both visits.
First, the property is in a beautiful beachfront location. It’s all very well maintained and the staff are attentive and friendly. The two rooms I stayed in with my family were very different for each of my stays, and in different buildings, but both appeared well maintained.
My first visit a year ago was a 5 star stay. We were in a two bedroom suite, it had a spacious full kitchen with dining table and chairs, 2 full bathrooms, and a living room space for lounging. There was also great internet access, making it suitable for all ages and everyone’s web access needs. We loved it so much that we returned this year, this time two weeks earlier.
We got a different room due to less availability. This time it was a one bed with kitchenette and facing the water in a building father from the main area. Unfortunately this room/experience gets a 3 rating. The kitchenette was tiny, but worse, there wasn’t anything more than a couch and coffee table to eat at. Not sure how that’s supposed to work, even on vacation. Then we had zero internet access in that building. Hard when it winter time and the tv only allows for basic cable. The bigger issue is that if you’re planning to do any work from here, like I was, you simply can’t if you need to be connected. And anyone with medical devices that need to be connected, this won’t work for you either.
In short, I found the first stay awesome. My second one was too costly for what amounted to a hotel experience. However, if you plan in advance, see the room first and pay full prices, you may get something better suited. I booked through my RCI vacation membership so that was a gamble. Either way, it highlights that not all rooms are what you see in the pictures. Moral of the story, planning ahead in great detail is essential for most things if you want the...
Read moreWe have been customers of Bluegreen for 20 years and coming to The Soundings for 10 years. Every summer, we are greeted by the staff with such a warm “Welcome Home” feeling. This year was not so much. Yolanda was very curt, inflexible, and not warm. Disappointing for someone who works in the hospitality field. When we addressed a few concerns that we had with our room, she said we could bring it up to the manager the following day “but he is very busy doing ‘stuff’ and might not be able to talk to us” while shrugging her shoulders. At one point while addressing some concerns with her, she put her hand up to my face to signal “hold on” and answered the phone. I found this to be very rude in her delivery. She never offered a smile or hospitable response, and was often found rolling her eyes. Her answers for most questions were “it’s summer” while shrugging her shoulders. Even when asking what time the hot tub closes and she curtly states “dusk” later to find out there are signs posted that say 10 pm. I will say that Andrew was another employee and he was wonderful. When we were unhappy with our room, he overheard, found us, and showed us 2 other rooms. We appreciated this display of hospitality and he honestly made this whole experience better for us. He also personally delivered items to our room that we needed and we felt he was very gracious and caring. We were definitely disappointed overall with the customer service from several employees. Thankfully Andrew was an excellent representative and very caring...
