If they are not known for their bloody marry's then they should be. I believe the owner (female) made it for me. Enter it into a competition. Pricey place but it is the cape so I expected it. I'd say average for the area. Pretty generous portions of foo, we ordered crab cakes, steamers and a giant lobster roll. The giant lobster roll was just a basic new england hot dog roll overly, over filled with lobster meat, but it was delicious. The crab cakes aren't your typical crab cakes. Maybe baked In a muffin top pan, but they are good. They had a good ratio of crab to mixture, not gene9but good amount. The steamers were little necks, also good, served with butter and Broth. It was recommended by some locals....

We came here for early dinner on a weekend and didn’t need a reservation. We ordered a lobster broil, clam chowder and a salad. Food was OK. Lobster was just the right size but tasted a little chewy. The clams were good and it comes with a corn on a cob. Chowder was very thick and creamy so hard to appreciate the clams. Service was very good. We were seated immediately we got all the dishes that we ordered. It was just a little on the pricey side. Overall though the food, service and restaurant was good.

We absolutely love the Wooden Shoe and have been coming here for years! The best place in town to get a seafood dinner. Lobsters, steamers, scallops.. all fresh and cooked to perfection. Their lobster bisque and clam chowder are some of the best I've had as well. It's a must when we're here in the summer and we have a lot of fond family memories that include the Wooden Shoe! Definitely recommended.

I called in advance to make a reservation for 10 people. She asked if we had ever been there before and I replied no. She proceeded to tell me that there was no fried food for the kids but never mentioned that they were a cash only restaurant. Pulling up to the restaurant we got out and saw a mouse run into the corner of the building. Upon entering you got a wiff of what smelled like a dirty shoe, and were pointed to our table. A waitress with dark curly hair came over with one menu for the entire table. She seemed annoyed and had an attitude the entire time. Taking drink orders she had to keep “having to ask” if they had certain beers or apple juice. She hadn’t finished with our drink order and instead of going around the table to ask what each person wanted she had us hold up our hands if we wanted lobster rolls and other items. It was bizarre. They food came, it was nothing to rave about. We had better lobster rolls from the snack shack at the beach early that day. I was unimpressed. I would have never taken my family there for dinner but based on these google reviews and photos I thought it was going to be nice. I was wrong. It was also extremely pricey for the quality and atmosphere. Don’t be duped by these reviews. Stay away from the...

Won't be coming back. It was busy, but waited 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. Soup came out pretty quick, but there was barely any lobster in the lobster bisque - just tiny shreds. Proceeded to wait 45 minutes for our entrees. Watched tables around us who ordered after us get their food - some of which was the same meals we ordered. Was close to leaving and finally the food arrived. The plate the corn was served on had a layer of plastic half peeled off, which was unappetizing. The giant lobster roll was a little larger than average, but more certainly not worth the $27.95. Only came with a small bag of Lay's chips and about 2 bites of cole slaw. Crab cakes had a bunch of pieces of shell in them. The waitress hands us the check with a smile on her face and said it's been a crazy night. Not sure how you can hand us a bill with overpriced meals and awful service with a straight face and not be super apologetic. Don't waste your time or your money, better lobster rolls and service at so many other...

I have never been here before and my uncles went for drinks and all the old timers were raving about the food. I was dying for a lobster roll. I got the "giant" size, not worth $45 at all. It had an extra scoop of the lobster salad compared to the small. I will say that was good but I had better. Also got the clambake, about $55. Came with a whole lobster, clams and corn on the Cobb. Lobster was great but the clams were very sandy and they were defiantly not done. Lastly got the scallops, about $25. They certainly were not done either and they were very tiny. Also got 2 little cups of clam chowder, that was really good. The atmosphere was really good, kinda like a dive bar feel. Lots of old men drinking beers. No AC though, got hot after eating. I'm from Maryland, we know...
