Overpriced, cash only with ATM on site that charges a $3.50 fee. Line was long to get ice cream, cashiers were rude.
They didn't even have rainbow sprinkles-what kind of ice cream shop doesnt have rainbow sprinkles?! I asked for vanilla in a dish with rainbow sprinkles, girl comes back with chocolate. I said "oh sorry I meant RAINBOW sprinkles" (as she's thrusting the cup in my face) I said "well my son can't eat chocolate so please just give us vanilla" She was SO mean after that, huffing and puffing whilst getting me plain vanilla. After we finally found somewhere to sit (it was terribly crowded) my 3yr old son accidentally dropped his ice cream on the ground and the boy emptying the trash just stared at us with a dirty look. I would have expected him to say "that's ok, let's get you another" but he was just as bad as the cashiers. We didn't bother asking for another, I just had my daughter share her ice cream. I didn't want to risk anymore rude behavior from the staff and didn't want to wait in line another 20 minutes.
Parking is so bad they had to have people directing traffic. Not sure why it was so busy as the ice cream really wasn't anything to write home about... even the soft serve had frozen ice bits in it like it was freezer burned.
We visit Cape Cod every summer and normally go to Skippers Chowder House for ice cream but my mom wanted to try here. Suffice to say we will not...
Read moreI have been a fan of Sundae School ice cream since 1976, when they opened the first store in a little shack down the street from where my sister was renting a house for the summer. We loved the ice cream then and it hasn’t changed a bit! Sundae School has always been a part of our family summers. I surprised myself this summer, trying a new flavor, Amoretto Nut. Sweet cream enough has been my favorite for years but the amaretto flavor just permeated the whole cone. The ice cream is really creamy, and the homemade whipped cream and fresh cherry are a nice touch. This past week, we introduced no less than four people to Sundae School Ice Cream, not counting the dog who so enjoyed her cup of sugarless vanilla! In fact, we tried to rush there after the band concert tonight, but were a few minutes late. Now we head back to South Carolina in the morning, before Sundae School opens so we are officially done with Sundae School for the year. We were very sad until we realized that we still had a pint in the...
Read moreWhat a wonderful ice cream place! Wow! Some may argue it is the best ice cream in the Cape. Whoever trained the employees must be some sort of genius or something. I would love to hit the casino with them as they would struck great luck and fortune. The way the workers performed in perfect unison really caught my attention. Even for a large party, two, three, heck, even four or more, they have at least three employees staring you down and memorizing your orders to perfection. I would trust them to perform a perfect brain operation. The complexity of each order seemed daunting to remember, but these employees were amazing to remember and perfect each order. It’s truly incredible, meanwhile I can’t even remember what I had for lunch yesterday. Great atmosphere outside and an even better one inside. The place does get very busy, but it seems like the staff is ready for any crowd. I know at my visit, there were hundreds of people there ready to try their delicious ice cream. Would...
