I enjoyed my experience working with Ashley. Ashley was very knowledgeable, patient, kind and very down to earth wirh me. I connected with her and she appears to be a “People Person”. I hope my purchases today works out for me but if not Ashley assured me we will come up with a solution that would work. UPDATE: I purchased my mattress on Feb. 18th and delivery was scheduled for March 14th due to delivery issues. I believe short staff for delivery. I told Ashley I am patient and was ok with waiting almost a month I know it is coming soon. Well I had a missed call from a salesperson on March 12th two days before my mattress delivery and she left a voicemail saying there was an issue with the mattress I ordered due to non delivery from the mattress vendor. WHAT!!! I was offered another mattress that was in stock. When I purchased my mattress paid in full on the 18th of February there were were available at the warehouse so I decided to go to American Mattress and get a refund. It was almost 14 days and the funds for the refund had not been applied to my account so I called American Mattress to find out what was the delay and Ashley answered the phone. Ashley explained it could take up to 14 business days. Ashley asked me to give her a chance to make this right and boy did she. Ashley made it possible for me to get the mattress I had purchased with extra perks that were no longer available but were included with my original purchase. I had my delivery the following Saturday. Ashley gave her personal touch and made the seemed impossible situation possible and she did it quickly without hesitation. Ashley exceeded being Stellar and deserves recognition for resolving the situation soooo professionally when I thought my situation with my mattress made American Mattress not seem professional but after Ashley found out about what had occured she went above and beyond to make it right....

It was obvious that he was more concerned with what WE wanted than what he might want us to buy — not pushy at all!
And in the end, he gave us what we felt was a good and fair deal!

(update) The original President's Day sale included 2 free pillows -- turns out they were standard-sized, not king-sized, as we had expected, to fit our mattress. When I called to see if we could trade for the appropriate size (or pay for an upgrade), Joe was no longer at that location. (The mattress was delayed 3 times & delivered 5 weeks after the purchase). Part of Joe's sales pitch was that, unlike big mattress stores where we'd not have personal service & have to call an 800 number if we had a problem, he'd be at this family-owned store to personally help us if there were any issues. Joe's replacement did not follow up. (After our initial conversation, I called back twice to ask if there would be a resolution -- nothing was ever done). I called Joe at his new location & he said the offer was for standard-sized pillows. I said we would have paid for an upgrade at that time if he had mentioned that, & he said he wished he had known. He's the professional -- he should have gone over that detail in the deal. (We were closing on it a half hour after the store closed, so I'll cut him some slack since he probably just wanted to get home.) But he was not able to do anything for us from the new location. Lesson learned -- it's all in the details! We still love our mattress, though -- VERY comfortable. (hybrid, Scott brothers) Looks like we got a fair price. Just hope it lasts a...
Read moreI had a really great experience at American Mattress with Joe. I ran him through a gamut of questions. He was professional, patient and helped me make a great mattress decision. Update....while I had a great in store purchase the backend of the process has left much to be desired. My delivery date was moved without any call or information from the company. I get that products do not always come in as anticipated however the utter lack of communication is mind-blowing. If an estimated delivery date is not going to be met, it should not be incumbent on the customer to call and find that out, only to then be told it was rescheduled to another date without even asking if that would be feasible. As far as I am concerned, that is completely unreasonable. Then I got a call from Mike from corporate who was rude and stated his frustration is 10 fold compared to mine. He just kept saying he was trying to resolve the issue by telling me the date in which they rescheduled my delivery for. I was already aware of said date because I called the store myself. I tried to explain that what I am not ok with was the lack of communication. He couldn't tell me who the responsible party should have been for calling me and telling me my date was moved.
