The pizza is a bit pricey- a medium serves 3-4 ppl with two toppings (mushrooms and sausage) is over $20. We ordered the garlic bread, not terribly UNedible, but the frozen ones from Costco are better. And with two sodas, our bill was over $30. Not really worth $15pp.
However, the ingredients are big and tasty- the mozzarella was very stretchy (a sign of good quality) and the sausage had great flavor. That's 1.5 star. There were only 4-6 other patrons in this big ole restaurant... so when we had to ASK for refills on our drinks, our server should've spent more time looking after us than locking his eyes on the TV. The other 0.5 star is for a clean restaurant with clean, nicely scented restrooms. I know it may sound silly, but some establishments don't maintain these standards and I appreciate them.
On Tuesdays, they do have buy 1 get 1 1/2 off pasta dishes. Wednesdays are $5 Miller Lite pitchers. On Saturdays, they have buy an 18" pizza, get a 12" cheese pizza for free. Another thing that intrigues me about this restaurant is that they have a frequent custoemr card, for every $25 you spend, you get a stamp... our server coudln't find a card for us, but I'm sure you get a discount or a free pizza of some sort once filled out. So I may have to give this place one more shot before I rule it...
Read moreWe were so excited to try Nonnie's for the first time. It was me, my husband and a friend's kiddo. We had Mike as our server and he was so friendly and helpful. We asked him for suggestions and he gave us a few ideas. My husband ordered the Italian beef sandwich on his suggestion and was not disappointed!! It came with lots of sweet peppers and melted cheese. Husband said it was very good! I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was really crispy and good! I wished for more buffalo sauce but not enough to ask Mike for more because it was delicious and it was just my preference. We both got fries with our sandwiches. They were so crispy and tender!!! We both wished we could order more. Our friend's kiddo ordered the kids pizza with black olives and cheese. I tried a piece and we both thought it was really good. They were generous with the olives. The cheese was perfectly melted and nice and stretchy. The sauce had that protect balance of sweetness and savory and the crust was perfectly crunchy in spots but with that nice chewy bite.
We can't wait to go back!!
A huge thank you to Mike for his help making our first in restaurant experience since the shelter in place was lifted so fun and welcoming! We...
Read moreWe made a reservation for 26 for my grandma's birthday 2 weeks in advance, they called us the day before to explain that they were suddenly overbooked and asked if we would be okay using an upstairs party room which was totally fine until we were completely ignored. Our reservation for 6pm and we didn't see a waitress until someone from our party went down and got someone to help us at almost 7pm. We ended up ordering 5 pizzas because we were told by our server we would get free 12 inch cheese pizzas with our 18 inch pizzas. He completely forgot to put in the one soup/sandwich order which we had to again track him down just to ask about 30 mins after the pizza came. They charged us $9 dollars per pitcher of soda which is outrageous. Overall between our bar bill (us just going and getting ourselves) and the food we spent almost $700 dollars and that's after we had to ask why we were still being charged for all the 12 inch cheese pizzas he told us came with the 18 inch pizzas. Would have been nice if they offered to take the sandwich off since it was forgotten or maybe a few of the $9 pitchers but live and learn I guess. Pizza was...
