We stayed in a two-bedroom cabin at Colter Bay Village and overall had a lovely, peaceful experience. The cabins themselves were cute, clean, and surrounded by dense forest, which helped keep the space cool even during warmer days. Compared to lodging in other national parks, the price point felt reasonable—especially for the proximity to Grand Teton’s natural beauty. While the accommodations were charming, the on-site food left much to be desired. It was overpriced and solidly average in quality. We also didn’t spot any wildlife during our stay, which was a bit of a letdown given the location. The absolute highlight of our trip was the two-hour fishing excursion with Captain Phil. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience unforgettable. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just looking for a scenic outing on the water, it’s worth every minute. In short: cozy cabins, skip the food, and don’t miss the fishing trip!

I've been staying at the Colter Bay Cabins since I was a kid and I have always loved staying there and appreciated the small improvements over the years while keeping the historic and rustic charm. The two-room, four-bed cabins are roomy, clean and comfortable. They now have ceiling fans, Keurig coffee machines, glasses, mugs, coffee and tea, while keeping the heater/fan, clean beds, and same log walls and log furniture that I loved as a kid. Without the nostalgia, the cabins may seem basic at first, there are no TVs, WiFi, or most modern amenities, but that is why they are historic and feel like a true log cabin! Admittedly, the bathrooms are small (especially the shower) but the cabins are beautiful and traditional. Very close access to the nearby general store, gift shop, restaurant, trails, and marina. If you want to have a nice log cabin in a prime location in GTNP, this is the place!

We are so glad we picked Colter Bay lodge as our main stay when we visited the Grand Teton. The cabin is very clean and is a great location to access the lake. There’s a general store if you need any grocery, and the ranch house has good food. We had breakfast there both days when we stayed there. Laundry is right next to the general store and it was so convenient. Easy access to lake shore walk is you want something flat and has a great view to the Teton Range. Could also hike out further to Heron Pond/Swan Lake (3 mi loop) and Hermitage Point if you feel like the challenge. If you happened to visit during a no moon and clear night, step out after dinner, you will easily see the milky way with just naked eye.

Wow- we LOVED it here! We were stunned with the location & natural beauty surrounding the resort, but also with every single person we talked to- everyone was kind, helpful, hard-working & seemed to really enjoy their job. That says a lot! Everything was clean (something I notice & appreciate!) and everything was available right on the resort property- we didn’t have to leave (& didn’t want to!) we loved it so much, we tried to extend our stay, but it was booked- & for good reason- it’s the best! We fell in love with Colter Bay Village & the Grand Tetons- we have been telling everyone- & we can’t wait to come back again some day! What a special place! & we truly enjoyed talking to all the employees from all over the country/world! What an awesome program &...
