Growing up I had always admired the property of Francie's Inn B&B, but never had a reason to stay. Unfortunately, I had a reason and it wasn’t the best if circumstances- my Father’s burial and celebration of life. When looking for places to stay around town that could accommodate my family and also host a brunch the following day my options were limited in DuQuoin. I was so happy to connect with Kelly at the Rose House. She made making the reservations and setting up my Sunday brunch an easy process. She remembered my family as we attended the same church growing up and I was so pleased at how she has updated the property. The porch was a great place to sit and watch the mornings go by with my favorite Marks bakery pastry and coffee from Farm Fancy. The added information in rooms was great for new options that were available in town since I have been gone 18 years. I highly recommend emailing or simply calling for reservations as Kelly will make certain your stay is all taken care of. The kids loved the yard to play in and the entire family loved the Koi pond too! Can’t recommend this local hometown spot enough!! Thanks again Kelly and Family for this gem of a spot, and a real home away from home.

I spent 4th of July week at Rose House with Kelly & her family. The experience was superb from start to finish. She was there to greet me with a smile helped me carry my bags and settle in. The historical home is gorgeous and the history is moving. The pictures proudly displayed tell the stories of the people served throughout the 100+ years the home has operated in several different capacities. I travel a lot as a single woman and the space provided me a safe and clean environment to relax and enjoy my time. I loved drinking my morning coffee on the beautiful front porch. If you’re considering a stay in Du Quoin I highly recommend Rose House. And make sure to check out her boutique!

The Rose House is a restful and lovely place. If you are new to Du Quoin, it is nestled in a very quiet neighborhood. We were genuinely able to rest there! If you are returning to Du Quoin, the Rose House holds so many local treasures. Kelly has old photos and mementos of Du Quoin all over the house. Her boutique even stocks Indians gear from the HS down the street. If you have memories of this building as Francie’s, you will be delighted by what the hosts have done with this property! Thanks for making our weekend so special, and more importantly, thanks for bringing to life a location that holds so much of the town’s history!

I am a native of Du Quoin, IL and have been very familiar with this facility over the decades when it was operated as Francie's Bed and Breakfast. I am also a Lifetime Marriott Platinum Elite and a Diamond member of the Hilton Hotel Chain. I have stayed at too many hotels over the years and have kind of become "burned out" on standard hotel stays. Over the past five years, I have stayed in the Rose House 2 - 3 times a year when visiting family in Du Quoin, usually for a week at a time. I have read most of the reviews of the Rose House and can attest that they give a very accurate review of the Rose House, and the owner operators, Kelly and her husband, Jason. This B&B was significantly updated when Kelly and Jason purchased the property. It is especially comfortable, very clean and has an "at home" feeling when you stay there. And, you'll be well looked after as they live near at hand, in the basement area of the home. Kelly is a former Du Quoin Native who moved back to her roots and is doing what she was trained to do. She previously worked in a managerial position within the Marriott chain so knows the industry and their standards. As a Marriot Lifetime Platinum Elite member, I can attest to the fact that she exceeds those standards and knows how to take care of her guests. I plan on staying at the Rose House for several weeks a year for years to come. Because the Road House offers a very comfortable stay and is great value for money. Give it a try and you won't be...
