Dollar General — Local services in Du Quoin

Literally just went there 10 minutes ago with my boyfriend to buy smores for our bonfire and a lighter(I'm 18, he's 17...a month away from being 18) and she asked for our ID, my boyfriend gave him hers and she refused to sell it to us even after I told her I was 18 and I could grab my ID. We ended up realizing we needed a lighter and I asked her if I could just return one of the items I had purchased before and she could ring me up for a lighter( my boyfriend was in the car at this point and I had brought my ID ) And she said I couldn't return it anyways because they were out of receipts and I was like okay fair enough...I went to go put the lighter back and she looked at me like I was disgusting and immediately raised her voice saying "I CANT SELL IT TO YOU STOP TOUCHING THE LIGHTERS. YOU CANT HAVE THEM." At this point I was like okay...😐and walked out of the store. I'm honestly disgusted with how we were treated after we spent our money and were nothing but respectful up until we got treated with disrespect. I've gone to this dollar general 90 percent of my life, it's honestly sad that this is how people are getting treated now. I hope this lady realizes she can't just talk to people like that. Doesn't matter how old anyone is, everyone deserves to be treated...

I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY PAY IT FORWARD AS I DID TODAY. First a woman with a young girl had a card that didn't work; as she told the cashier to put it back and said she was sorry, a woman right behind her stepped up and payed with her card. When that lady left there was a young gentlemen whose card was refused and as he was reaching over the bagging area to put his food back until he checked the balance, just then a man walked in who had not seen what the previous woman did for the Momma and girl, who first asked how much, it was 14.00 and he handed the cashier(young man), his card to pay. Talk about Nice. It was real good to see such generousity, kindness and caring. Just to be clear this was Dollar General...

DO NOT GO THERE AND IF YOU DO MAKE SURE YOU GRAB THAT RECIET CAUSE I BOUGHT HEAD PHONE AND BOTH WERE FOR THE RIGHT EAR TRIED TO JUST EXCHANGE WITH THE SAME LADY AND SHE REFUSED. They are junk they won’t even hook up to use one cause I can’t put them both in the case they are basically worthless and so are the employees who work there she was the actual lady who rang me up and she seen they are junk 12.50 for absolute nothing can not use them at all don’t spend the little money we have on anything electronics wise at there store it’s all junk UPDATE::: I was able to get them exchanged I understand now why they didn’t want to and so I will be going back but it is still a great idea to get...
