We came to Ducktown from Central Georgia specifically for rafting and hiking, as well as to see any fall color. I first looked at motels near the river but ultimately chose The Company House for our lodging and breakfast. We couldn't have asked for better accommodations, breakfasts, and conversation! The innkeepers are delightful folks who take the time to ensure their guests have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The house is restored, in an elegant old fashioned taste. The bedrooms are small and cozy, as is expected in a house from the 1800s. Breakfast is amazing and all the other reviews about breakfast are correct! We stuffed ourselves silly. The location is excellent for outdoor activities, and there is a brewery right across the street! We will definitely go back there during Christmas to see how Margie and Mike decorate the house for the holidays. Highly...
Read moreMike & Margie take the southern hospitality experience and elevate it to the next level. Mike shared endless stories with our group of the city and surrounding area as well as his own personal adventures during our 3 night stay. All three morning meals, cooked with love by Margie, we’re some of the better breakfasts we have ever had (especially their “duckwing” special, don’t worry it’s not actually duck 😅) and we’re always different. The location is also perfect for those looking to raft the Ocoee as any outfitter you select is no more than 30 minutes away. Also, they are in close proximity to small-town bars and bites in Copperhill, Blue Ridge and Murphy. ||10/10 experience, will be recommending to all of our friends. Thanks again for the great time...
Read moreWe landed at the Ducktown Airport after our plane had a non-emergency issue that needed to be checked out. It was late afternoon and the airport was empty. We googled local places to stay and saw The Company House got great reviews and was close. We called and Mike answered and said he would be right over to pick us up. Turns out he is a former pilot and used to keep his plane at the Ducktown Airport. |It was a beautiful, homey, very clean house with wonderful accommodations. Mikes wife Margie was also wonderful and served the most delicious breakfast! We had a wonderful visit! Mike then gave us a ride back to the airport the next morning! Cant thank them both enough! Hope to return...
