The Beso Del Sol resort is extremely unprofessional, rude, and callous. Long story short: Beso Del Sol cancelled a wedding reservation shortly before the wedding, leaving the bride and groom high and dry, without any alternative reservations, without apology, and without enough time to make reservations for similar accommodations elsewhere. Why? Because the owners wanted to visit the resort that same weekend, and the hotel was already completely booked. If you are planning any important event that requires planning months in advance, you should think twice before relying on this incredibly unreliable business.
Longer version: Two dear friends of mine are getting married at the beginning of March, 2013. The bride and groom booked a king suite at Beso Del Sol six months in advance of their wedding. The plan was for the bridesmaids and the moms to get ready in the suite at Beso Del Sol – hair, makeup, dresses, mimosas, photos, etc. It was going to be a fun, relaxing pre-wedding gathering, and, importantly, it was close to the ceremony and reception site.
At the end of December, an employee of Beso Del Sol called the groom to inform him that they had cancelled their reservations at the resort because the owners wanted to come stay, and they were going to stay in the king suite that the bride and groom had booked. The Beso Del Sol employee further informed the groom that they had absolutely no other rooms to offer them... “Sorry.”
Now, instead of having the large, private suite for the bride, bridesmaids and moms to get ready, the entire bridal party (bride, groom, bridesmaids, and groomsmen) as well as all of the parents and step parents are getting ready at the bride's father's house (the makeup artists, hair stylists, and photographer will be there, too, of course). That adds up to over 30 people crammed into a single story, single family home getting ready for a wedding.
And after the wedding? The bride and groom will be spending their first night together as a married couple at the local...
Read moreVery nice very clean although they Stop serving food and beverages at bar very early 8 pm ish I think perhaps a bit later. Call to be sure. They did give a sunset shot of witch I think perhaps may have or not been alcoholic although they did only serve it to people who were of drinking age it is perhaps more of a romantic gesture with good intention then in actual shot as far as the rooms. the beds we're and there is no way to c cushion this critique very hard I would say uncomfortable in respect and comparison to comparable facilities or most other beds, that I have slept in at similar resorts. That being said and to the benefit of the staff. I didn't ask for any additional options or relief hard bed as I didn't want to make it an issue. the room was booked for 4 . We ended up a party of 3 one King bed was in a one bedroom studio style apartment the couch did not pull out so the option was rollaway beds that were brought to the room with the rollaway bed in the room in addition to the king bed that previously exists in the room there was no walkway which remained one would have to climb over a bed to get to the other side where the French doors open to the to the balcony or sleep with the rollaway bed in the main living area where furniture would have needed to be rearranged in order for that to be successful so I'm very grateful that for people did not show because two roll away beds would have been close to unmanageable. Although the staff seem very friendly very nice the place was very clean and there was great views of the sunset even with these space issues and fed issues luckily we didn't travel to Florida from across country just to sleep although rest on a vacation is probably a good thing. That is why I do give it a high star rating and do think if those issues were addressed up front would definitely go there again is a nice little tucked away place in a nice little tucked away town that gives you semi easy access to Clearwater and other main...

If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience at Beso del Sol was nothing short of humiliating, unprofessional, and borderline traumatizing.
We had originally booked the room for my father, who has a LEGITIMATE Emotional Support Animal (ESA). After a noise complaint, we did the responsible thing and completely accommodated their request by giving my father our reservation at a nearby hotel and taking the room at Beso del Sol ourselves. Management had previously told us that checking in ourselves would be totally fine.
That night, with no managers on-site, a kind gentleman helped us get into the room by making us a key. We had no issues. But the next morning at 10:30 AM, a woman claiming to be the manager banged on the door and told us we had 30 minutes to vacate—claiming we were trespassing. I calmly explained the situation and even asked her to call my father to clear up any confusion. She flat-out refused.
Despite being completely respectful and actively packing (with the door open so she could see I was complying), she escalated the situation and called the police. THREE officers entered the room and demanded we leave immediately. I was completely shocked and confused, but remained calm and cooperative.
There is police and personal footage of me being fully compliant, in case this hotel attempts to twist the story. The way this situation was handled—disrespecting us, refusing to communicate like professionals, and involving law enforcement over a miscommunication they caused—was absolutely unacceptable.
Beso del Sol should be ashamed. If you’re looking for a peaceful, professional, or even remotely respectful place to stay, look anywhere else. We were treated like criminals for simply staying in a room we were told was okay to use. Save yourself the stress—this place is a lawsuit...
