The people in the room next to ours had loud music blasting and they themselges were extremely loud all night and the woman at the desk would not answer the desk phone when I called multiple times to let her know about it. I HAD to call from my personal phone for her to answer! First time I talked to her about this issue she said she would CALL their room and say something. I told her they will not hear the phone if she called because they were so loud but she did not care. So my wife and I waited 15mins and nothing changed. I called her again from the room phone and of course no answer at the desk so I called from my personal phone AGAIN and she answered. When I told her the noise had not changed she got very snotty with me and said well I called and they did not answer which means I'm gonna have to go up there and talk to them, but its gonna have to wait I'm busy checking in a guest! she even said other guests were complaining about the noise. So about 15mins later we heard her knocking on their door. The noise went down a little for about 10mins than went right back up! So instead of bothering her I turned our tv up and TRIED to go to sleep. This was all around 11-12 at night. Well by 5am I couldn't tolerate it anymore. I called from the room phone again and as expected she did not answer. So I called from my personal phone and low and behold she answered. I told her about how loud these people are being and AGAIN she said yeah other guests are complaining as well. So she had to go back up to their room and FINALLY the noise stopped which by than was about 5:30am! From what I was told by the guy at the desk when I was leaving the night girl SAID she called the police but only called the Dunmore police local number NOT 911 and said the police did not come out. That she's only 1 girl and she was "afraid" and she never called 911 to have them removed because as she said "it was not an emergency" to have them removed even though she had SEVERAL complaints about these people and she told them they had to leave and they refused! She said she did not argue with them because it was a BUNCH of guys and she was too scared to do anything since she was alone. The guy that I talked too when we checked out said it was most def an emergency and agreed she should have called 911. Also the bed spread that was on the bed had a HUGE yellow stain on it and it was very easy to see and the bed spread was white! Even though I told the guy at the front desk all this stuff and he absolutely agreed with me he DID NOT offer any type of compensation! My wife and I have stayed at that hotel before and have never had any issues. I can’t imagine a family who was dependent on this money, not having access to it because the motel charge large sums of money without anybody knowing why. Three days later a manager finally got back to me. Her name was Cheyenne who also told me she doesn’t understand how my account was charged five different times for over $1000 for a canceled motel room. The tv remote was dirty. The power on/off button didn't work. I went to see the front desk clerk who told me the other buttons on the remote work. The back of the remote was missing, so batteries were exposed. Clerk told me to turn the tv on from the tv, then use the other buttons on the remote, for volume, and changing channels.
The bathroom had beard hairs behind the sink. Not a very good cleaning.(picture) The tap in the bathroom needs to be repaired. As soon as you lift it water is leaking from the top of the tap. Toilet is dirty. The mirror was not properly cleaned, toothpaste on it, from last guest.(picture)
The ice machine was broken on our floor so I had to walk down from the 3rd to the 1st floor.
The whirlpool was not working. We didn't swim in the pool.
There were parties and noise all night. We did not sleep at all.
In the morning there was a woman sitting on the couch, outside our room, with only a t-shirt on, and nothing else. People were vaping and making noise all night.
Our room was next to the elevator and the couch was used for different activities all night long. People talking and vaping. I was scared to open the door. At 5:00 am people were still sitting there.
I really wanted to check out and find another hotel but we had driven 10 hours and everyone was exhausted. We rented 2 rooms and had a small tired child that wanted to sleep. I'm wondering if we would have been better off to sleep in the car.
There is no security in this building so I didn't feel safe.
I paid for this horrible experience.
We didn't stay for breakfast.
