Big Lots — Local services in Dunmore

Great store, nice employees. I was recently there shopping and had my purse stolen out of my s/o's car, I called the Police and unfortunately they don't have security cameras! I had something that may br irriplaceible in my purse, half of it was our fault I guess my s/o left the car open😤. The store should put some money into securing there parking lot. There's been more than on incident that's happened to me in that parking lot within 2yrs from eachother and NO CAMERAS WHEN I NEEDED HELP!!! Sad bc I'm sure they have them to protect themselves from the Ives but mine got off! Nothing bad to say about the store though and they always have good deals u frequent the store at least monthly,...

Prices are great for the most part. Store is near and orderly. The only issue I ever have there, is due to a lack of importance placed upon customer service. Even management, in most places as of the last 4 years, has lacked the absolute importance, in making a customer feel comfortable and generally all around pleased in their shopping, dining, etc., experience. Big Lots and the many Dollar store variations, seem to have suffered most in this area. We ARE the success of downfall of their businesses, jobs, paycheck, etc.. I just don't get how the customer being right concept has been so unacceptably thrown out. There are Some who still go above and beyond. But it is few and...

This used to be a beautiful store, but it feels rather dumpy these days. A lot of shelves are empty and it just looks fairly worn and dirty in general. On a better note, the staff I encountered were very kind and considerate. I was in an aisle and as I was exiting they were stocking shelves and were expressing concern that they might be in my way. Way too often staff don't even look up when a customer is encountered. These ladies were very kind and friendly. If it were not for the earlier problems I mentioned this would be a regular stop for me. The kitchen section with the plates and glasses and such is nicely stocked and has some things that...
