We stayed here in December for a family wedding. This was one of two hotels that were recommended for the wedding guests. I was impressed upon my arrival with the exterior appearance and the lobby of the hotel. Both were very clean and inviting. The lobby and hallways were clean and tidy. The elevator was a little sketchy...it sounds like it could use a little work. Our room was very clean, neat, and up to date. The bed was very comfortable, and the sofa in our room was also comfortable. The only real complaint I had about the room was upon arrival, there was a "funky" smell in the room. I chalked this up to something used during the cleaning of the room. It wasn't totally offensive, and dissipated within an hour or two, so it wasn't something to complain to the front desk about. It had a nice looking pool and hot tub, but as we were busy with the wedding, we didn't get a chance to use it. The breakfast served in the morning was very basic, and some of the items...the eggs, for example...weren't very good, according to my wife. I had the waffles and sausage, which I felt was good. The rooms were quiet...I didn't wake up when the rather loud wedding party from the wedding we attended arrived at the hotel. All in all, I would...
Read moreThe toilet in our room got plugged up. My husband called the front desk and advised them of the issue and asked for them to have maintenance come to our room and plunger the toilet. My husband was told that they had a plunger at the front desk and we could come down and get it. In other words, we would have to unplug the toilet ourselves. My husband did not go to the front desk and get the plunger and we ended up having to use a toilet off the lobby. I have never stayed at a hotel before where an issue such as a plugged toilet was the responsibility of the guest staying there to take care of it themselves! Also, when we checked out on Sunday, the desk agent didn't thank us for staying there or asked us how our stay was. Needless to say, the amount of money that we had to pay for two nights was ridiculous for the type of service that we received. We were in town for a wedding which was a beautiful event, but then we had to have the weekend ruined by your hotels lack of customer service. I will definitely not be staying at a Comfort Inn again! I am advising you of this, as this is not the type of service that a person should receive at a...
Read moreMy room smelled disgusting. I understand that it's a pet friendly room, but I've stayed in several designated pet rooms at different hotels over the years and I've never had one smell noticeably bad like that. My biggest problem was the sneaky way they tried to apply the pet fee. When I first arrived (no reservation in advance), I told the receptionist I wanted a pet friendly room and I asked her what the total for everything would cost. She told me the price, I ran my card, and then she said there was an additional fee for my dog that would be added on later. What? I just asked what the total for everything was for a pet friendly room, why would she not include the pet fee in that price? That was very sneaky but luckily the staff in the morning waived the fee. You can't run someone's card and then try to tack on an additional fee that you neglected to tell them about. Also, the person in the room above me was so loud, lots of banging and stomping noises. And there was a dog a few rooms down that barked nonstop for about two hours. One night at this hotel was definitely not worth the $200+ I paid. Way overpriced for the...
