Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Dyersville

We stopped at the Dyersville Dairy Queen, I would share how the ice cream was but I chose to move on. We had a group of five people, there was one single person ahead of us ordering. The kid behind the counter didn't seem too happy that we walked in. After all, there was one whole other customer in the place and no one on the drive-thru. When the first of our group ordered he told the employee that we would be all on one ticket. He acted as if this would cause a problem. He rudely said, "Alright then who's next?" The rest of us looked at each other confused at why the snarky response." We decided to just skip the snack and the rudeness, we told him "Nothing for us, we don't want to inconvenience you." I know, how inconsiderate of us to come in and ask to buy stuff just because you're selling it. Our mistake was thinking that's why you have an open store and a job. The lady in front of us must have been unhappy with something as well, she got her drink and stormed out, kicking the door open! So, if you are looking for a meal, a drink, or ice cream I do not suggest this place. If you are looking to be treated as a nuisance, this might be the place for you. Food is always great. No complaints there. But they definitely have THE NICEST, MOST POLITE AND HELPFUL PEOPLE THERE that I have come across in a very long time. We got 2 Moolattes. The 3 DQs in Dubuque should take lessons and learn the proper way and proportions to use to correctly make one of these. They were down right, absolutely PERFECT!! BEST Moolattes my husband and I have ever had since right after they came out. My husband NEVER COMPLAINS about hardly anything he eats. But he ALSO never gives out compliments either. He just eats and/or drinks it. But even he said that the Dyersville DQ had the cleanest place, top shelf level employees, the very best layout to get people in out and on their way and hands down the very best moolattes he's ever had. ...

Food was good, but the service stinks. A young boy took my family's order, made a smart remark about how high the bill was. Then when he brought out our food, he was joking around with another young male coworker and almost dropped the food. Then when he brought out 2 of 4 blizzards, he asked what type the other 2 were and said he would be back with them, but he didn't (waited 10-15 minutes) I had to go up front, wait 15 minutes to get the other 2 blizzards. Even when I asked him about them, he acted as if he didn't know what I was talking about. Then he continued to goof off with the other young male coworker, again! I finally got them and left.
