Apparently tips aren't voluntary. At least that's what one would be led to believe based on the lack of response by the cashier after I didn't tip them. Not a goodbye not a thank you nothing. I know it's Vogue now for corporations to make you feel guilty by not tipping which is actually passing on the fact that they don't want to raise their wage. Instead they respond by putting a tipping function on their machines. So if you pay with your debit card or credit card The tipping function appears.bI'm not here to subsidize your workforce. As much is I appreciate that they work hard it should be your job to pay them enough that you don't have to use graft as a manner of trying to guilt your customers into tipping them.
