â˘â˘â˘EXTRA, UNSIGNED FOR CHARGES ON CREDIT CARD AFFER WE LEFT!!!â˘â˘â˘ Thankfully credit card company got our money back. Watch your bills! â˘Made reservations ahead of time for 1 king bed room but the woman had rented our room out in the two hours it took for us to drive there. â˘She was unapologetic and tried to give us a smoking room telling us it wouldnât be that bad and sheâd give us some air freshener spray, squirting it about. Then said she could give us a double full bed room she guessed. We asked to see the room.
â˘She opened the door, without knocking, on another couple who was mortified. So she went down a few more doors and decided this one was empty, probably taken from another guest who hadnât arrived yet haha. It seemed alright so we accepted. She charged me the extra price for the double bed even though it was her mistake! I tried to argue but was so tired I just accept the price.
â˘The sheets seemed clean not the one bed, but the fitted sheet on the other was VERY sweat stained. I took it to the desk and kindly asked for another. She immediately became irate and started yelling at me, accusing me of making the sheet dirty!! I said that I was not accusing them of not washing the sheeting since the rest seemed clean but that I would feel better with an I stained fitted sheet. She angrily got me another, letting me know that she would be checking for ânew stainsâ after we left.
â˘If you are still planning to stay here, wear shoes in the room. I walked around for an hour before realizing the bottom of my feet were BLACK from the dirty carpet.
Truly this place will not save you that much money. Spend the extra $25 bucks and go to LaQuinta. You deserve better for yourself!!! Again,...
Read moreLeaving Dallas for the Hill Country on a Friday afternoon, this is a good stop-over. Courteous and professional staff at the desk greets you friendly with offer of wake-up call, local restaurant information and a check-up later if your room is satisfactory. My king room, while not extraordinarily spacious, was quite satisfactory: Newer paint, tile and carpet, upgraded sink, counter and shower bath. Excellent towels (Hilton quality!), soaps and shampoo provided. Mattress rather firm, the counter, table and chairs in the room are better goodwill quality. TV had limited channels, fridge (no freezer compartment) and microwave sparkling clean. New and modern A/C unit was efficient. Quiet night - traffic on the main drag was no issue. Mini breakfast consists of bananas, apples, cereal and donuts, along with juice and a surprisingly decent coffee. Enough to get the motor running. For 40+ bucks - this fit the bill for a decent roof over your head for an overnighter. Clean, comfortable (for one person) and good value.||||PS: Hungry for BBQ? go to Sticks, on #377 at the south...
Read moreRooms are nice for the price. It may not be a big box hotel, but it's half the price and still quite descent. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, large TV's, plenty of parking (even with a trailer), great water pressure. What more could you ask for?
Edit: We stay here a lot, typically a couple nights a week at least and always 2 - 3 rooms per night. We have just been informed, regardless of our loyalty, they have increased our rate. That doesn't sit well with me. Supposed to take care of your loyal customers or they could become someone else's loyal customer. We have always stayed here when working in the area, but maybe it's time to...
