Oh, Boy, I've waited to review this one. So while traveling for business in needed a quick stop near lugoff SC, from my previous experience the lodging in actual Lugoff isn't hitting on much so I decided to try Columbia near my site I needed to be the next day. After pulling up to the hotel, I noticed how clean the parking lot was even though it was nestled being a waffle house and gas station. Even though being behind these, the area was clean and didn't smell, and the parking lot didn't connect to the back of these businesses, so Bravo to the building engineer. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a lovely lady who thanked me numerous times for being a reward member and gifted me a goodie bag. After checking in and making my way to the room I open my door and the room was perfect temperature, so clean you could lick the floor and a sweet little card thanking me again for staying with them. Literally took a shower and slept what felt like 13 hours. I woke up and went to their little gym, which had equipment that would rival most planet fitnesses. The gym was clean, cool, and had bottled water and towels. Not to mention, the equipment worked amazing, which says a lot to me. After that, I came back showered checked out super fast, all while smelling the amazing breakfast, which I didn't eat but smelled great. Thank you, honestly, for the lovely stay, I will...
Read moreFirst let me say that the staff was excellent. Friendly and helpful and sincere. Now the dings. Floor of handicap room (entire room) felt like you were sticking to it. Kind of funny until later. You could see a haze on the floor in the reflection. Not a big deal initially, INITIALLY. We got in late so we just wanted to go to bed, then up early. Not by choice. The sun shade was broken and guess what, we are facing East, yay! So up we go. Last night I was excited to have a decent shower stall (I've had a stroke impacting my entire right side)! I went to use the shower and nope. The plastic slider and spray nozzle weren't working. I got it back together and when I turned on the water the base was spraying almost as much as the sprayer. This was where it got sporty. Remember the haze on the floor? Yep, I had to get the wife to help me out. The bathroom turned into a skating rink. No shower today. I guess I'll was my hair in the sink. Wife could use it but I can't. Also the lights near the bed flicker, kind of makes me think of the Artemis hotel. I went to breakfast which was very nice. Clean and friendly! I never felt that the staff did not appreciate the issue. The manager was extremely nice, and she could empathize having had to family members that had had strokes as well. I believe truly that they're going to take care of the issues, let's hope they do! I am...
Read moreWe stayed here because my daughter had a pageant on Saturday morning. We checked in Friday night. At first our stay was going great, we were checked in fast, the room was clean besides an alcohol bottle under the air conditioner unit. We were satisfied for the most part but when we got ready to check out the next morning, we realized our car had been BROKEN INTO!! And absolutely NO ONE seemed concerned, not the staff, not the police, no one was trying to get the problem solved. They couldnât show us the cameras because only one person had access to it and wouldnât be available until Monday, which is bad for us because we donât live in South Carolina. It seems like a safe area but how safe could it really be if people are sitting in the parking lot, scanning for peopleâs vehicles to break into? The police told us the things they took that were important to us, really held no value. Again, it was important to us. Anything with personal information is important. The thieves broke into the car, and took things from our TRUNK! So nothing was visible. They rambled through the car searching for whatever. We have no idea who was watching us in that parking lot or how long they were watching. The cameras wouldâve helped a lot. I was planning on returning again but that is out of the...
