-Advance warning 2long review sorry4text speak- My friend is getting ready 2 go on a trip&said this hotel seemed nice&good reviews. I gave her the truth. I stayed here in the beginning of January 2019Its been awhile it may have changed. I stayed4nights@LQ. My problem was the GM. I found out who he was after he was completely rude 2 an employee. Employees may not do a good job but show urself some respect&respect ur employees, discuss matters behind closed doors. Its basic entry level Management 101. His behavior sucked. Cleanliness & staff is the only saving factors for this hotel for me. Rooms are spacious. The pillows are down feather. The bathrooms are big long rectangles. Huge TV chair & lamp are in the room the chair was nice. The room was cleaned by housekeeping & done very well everyday no bits of things on the carpet place was actually dusted windows were clean on nside. They serve breakfast sucks it ends at 9. At the end of breakfast the attendant told us&let us get more leaving nonhot for longer, nice b/c I missed breakfast 1st morning . Next morning, I was greeted by the same attendant, who seemed way too bubbly for 7 am, was informative. It's self-service but she ran like a waitress. Not something u see at hotel breakfasts. Very thorough in cleaning between greeting guests. Whole time, saw no dirt. Breakfast rotates b2en scrambled eggs&faux omelets. The meat b2en sausage&bacon.GM asked how it was going, it felt forced&he is Indian, it was a lil hard2understand him. My 3rd morning, same attendant, remembered me, staffing here is above other hotels. The GM came out w/this gross dirt filled hand vacuum started vacuuming a table, I think the attendant was in the kitchen. The table was not empty long. I could not believe, vacuuming w/guests in the dining room w/a gross,needed cleaned hand vacuum. The attendant came out w/a spraybottle&cloth&u could tell she was upset bt keptprofessional manner, waited& cleaned the table w/the cleaner&saved my breakfast 4m spewing. The only thing that was dirty in this hotel is the Pool. The smell is wrong&they need 2 change their filter. There was a slight green cast 2 the h20. I'm Californian I know pools.It is a public pool,u swim@ur own risk anyway. Night staff=great. Chick passed out n front of her door down hall, I was coming back 4m dinner at Callahan's (A+food)The employee William (itsmysonsname) was very professional, desecrate&got everything sorted out quickly. I only knew cause I saw.Cookies RN the lobby@night. The staff deserve 5 stars. The kitchen attendant definitely deserves a raise or something. Everyone (NT GM) was professional, nice&seemed 2 care for the guest. I do not know if it’s b/c they like it or the GM is a tyrannical menace. His attitude w/staff, made me question the dark haired lady at the front desk twice she said yes his name is KP. Read moreWe are a Silver level member of Wyndham but this motel has some serious issues: Booked two nights, two rooms, several days in advance and asked for adjoining rooms. Upon arrival we found out we did not get the adjoining rooms which was a hassle. They said someone was staying in one of the two adjoining rooms. It's off season and not many rooms were booked so why wasn't our request fulfilled? Took a child with us and she wanted to swim. That was the #1 thing she looked the most forward to doing. However, we arrived and found that the pool was closed because they were trying to get the pH to a normal level. Asked how long the pool had been closed and was told weeks? Just how far off was the pH level for it to take that long? This is concerning. Stayed just one night instead of the two nights we reserved and checked out but what a hassle. We booked the two nights with points. It took literally six phone calls with back and forth connectivity issues (the wifi had poor connection at the motel, too) and we were finally told that they would give us the points back for the second night that we cancelled. Still, it took a few hours the first night to try to straighten this mess out and about an hour of calls the second day. Such fun spending HOURS trying to fix THEIR mess which they created and it was supposed to have been our mini vacation? They said it will take 3-5 days before we get our points back so we will see if they follow through but I will be checking to insure that we do. Hotel staff not welcoming and they seemed pleased to tell us that the breakfast ends at 9:00 a.m. instead of the usual 9:30 at other motels. Elevator was old, small, and we noticed that the expiration date for the inspection was expired? Hallway very dim on second floor.
In summary, we enjoyed our second nights stay at Comfort Inn next door. It was far more friendly and the rooms were very clean plus their pool was warm and open. We also got the adjoining rooms that we didn't get...

Bed was pee stained, tolet was dirty, shower was dirty, floor was falling apart, outlets were exposing wires, and we had spiders in our beds which bit my wife! We were woke up at 9 am and couldnt go back to sleep until 2 am the first night and woke up to banging the 2nd night at midnight. out room was book a day before and checked in 2 hrs later to find they didnt have a room ready so they made us switch rooms. For breakfast they had nothing but bagels, mini muffins, toast and cereal because all the protient was eating 30 mins after breakfast hours so we dinned out. I spoke to 4 employees about a discount for all the issues and they gave me the run around for 3 days including the Manager (who was said to be the owner) which i spoke to directly and he lied to me about getting back with me to get me to stop trying to make things right on my families end for all the screw ups on there part. they rejected my military discount due to us checking in on a friday but booking on a thurday (if we checked in on a thursday they said they would have applied the discount(yeah right) and when checking out we had a housekeeper sneak into our room when we walked outside to our vehicle (with a do not disturb sign on our room )and made us leave early and moved our belongings. this place is discusting and does not care about doing whats right for their customers, i rent hotel rooms every weekend and this was by far the worst ive been to in elkhart . Also the house maid that Booted us out early also took my Xbox one And hid it under covers in a chair. I asked her where it was and she acted like She didn't understand what I was talking about.
