Oh. My. Goodness! This restaurant is lip licking, face licking, and finger licking good! Dress casual, pull your hair pack, and come with an empty stomach! The food is so delicious, after one bite, you'll forget the table manners your momma taught you and dive in with both hands! My best guess why they're called "Smokin' Fattys" is their name implies the extra large portions of food! I've only been there once (for Mother's Day); however, we read the reviews before we arrived and learned nearly everything on their menu was shareable! My husband and I chose the Trash Can Nachos with brisket added. For sharing , I would recommend asking for extra meat to make it more enjoyable for two! (Or as an appetizer with extra friends!) Then we tried the Sampler Dinner that came with 2 sides. (The only thing I would suggest to the restaurant would be to add 2 extra huspuppies, because I believe they know many couples share this dinner) Honestly, we didn't need to order this extra meal, but this was our first dining experience. We learned their food is addicting and we wanted to experience a much as we could without ordering half the menu. I don't know if it's the atmosphere, the phenomenal customer service or simply their flavorful food - we were euphoric and had zero self control. We ate until we couldn't breathe! Our waitress knew every detail about the menu. She didn't try to up-sell us and made sure we understood we didn't need anything extra. When she learned I had AML Leukemia, she shared with us her father passed away from liver cancer. In those minutes we bonded. (((Hugs to Wendy!))) I gave the waitress a small heart attack. After we tasted our food, she stopped to inquire if we were enjoying dinner. I looked at her with a very serious face and asked, "Do you want me to be honest with you?" Omg! The dread that came over her face! I added, "This is so F------g GOOD!" The relief and the laughter was so worth it! Sincerely, everything about this place is intoxicating! You will not regret a single bite, a single minute and you'll make a mental note of your next meal when you come back! I assure you, you'll want to return, because you won't be able to control yourself! We never had to ask for a refill or extra napkins. Our needs were fulfilled before we realized we needed anything. The atmosphere is causal, relaxing, welcoming without judgements of stuffing our faces like pigs. Ha ha! I believe they have daily specials. So, check with their social media or ask your server before ordering. I can promise you, if you eat here on regular basis, you will be a smokin' fatty!!! 😂🤤

The food was good but was missing the good to great flavors you really want. After trying many sauce variations.... it still didn't meet my great expectations 😕 😞..... After making many Requests for different options and even having one of the items taken off of my table. Because it didn't even come close to being awesome at all. I refuse to touch it and add the lady. Remove it from my order. When I prepared a similar thing at home it was 10 times better.Of course, when they made it felt like they didn't even cook it.They just put it together raw. Steamed cabbage and vegetables had a nice appearance. But the cabbage wasn't cooked, wasn't steamed? A kind of felt raw. Instead of having a culmination of flavors, I felt like I was eating raw salad. When I was supposed to be experiencing sauteed cabbage and vegetables in a butter sauce. All the ingredients should have been soft. And easily edible , yet they were all crunchy and with my poor teeth I was unable to do any of it or Enjoy any flavors that I was supposed to enjoy from it. I did have. Pork belly And it did have a very wonderful appearance. But the large fatty pieces weren't quite rendered well enough to have the great flavors. I wanted. The bar b que sauces were all variations of too much mustard flavor and the white sauce was too much vinegar flavor. The heavy tones of mustard flopped my meal. Secondly the piece of food I had were really nice extra large bites. I wanted to cut them down to smaller bites but was only supplied a butter knife. After asking for a steak knife to cut my food with I was supplied with a filet knife. I'm guessing that was the only sharp knife ya'll had in the store. It did a great job and I could eat my food.. Overall, my enjoyment was lackluster. Hopefully my. Many contributions to give you all ideas for yall's restaurant would be beneficial to you in the future. Y'all have a ways to go to be come next level. Even The many items were really great The food wasn't up to that point of greatness yet. Yall, really need some good Hickory barbecue sauce.

Updated 3/26 - went during the afternoon and the place was a ghost town. The hush puppies were as good as remembered and our waitstaff was so nice and accommodating to our leisurely girls lunch. My only disappointment was that i think it was last night's leftovers for bbq. It was dry on the outside and chewy. Pit tatoes weren't smoky. Flavors were still good. Would still definitely go back, but at this point, probably only after 4 pm. Went here on a busy Monday night for their half-price boil. As a first-time patron, Emily was very patient with questions about recommendations, most popular menu items, etc. Wait time was what I would consider long for food to arrive, but it was a leisurely night with a good friend, so not tragic. The seafood boil was a good value for $15, but I wouldn't have paid more. Maybe, I'm just used to southern boils, but the dusting of Cajun seasoning was almost undetectable. The garlic butter had no flavor except a hint of movie theater butter. The sausage seemed like a summer sausage and not an andouille or other smoked sausage. But the crab and the shrimp were perfectly cooked, and we asked for more seasonings. The iced tea tasted like big city and was very refreshing. The stars of the evening, though, were the Jalapeño Hush puppies with the Sriracha honey butter and the Smokehouse Sampler. We ended up with 3 orders of hush puppies for the table and contemplated more they were so good! The ribs were so flavorful and tender. The burnt ends (while not burnt) were so tasty. Brisket was nicely smoked and a tad dry, but still worth talking about. The roast pork was dry, but not unexpectedly. Most struggle with that item on their menu. The smoked potatoes needed more cook time, but were average, and the elote corn was much better day two with extra lime and salt. Definitely will be going back to try their other options.

Walk in. Sit down. Lady delivering food to table next to us. Brings wrong order to wrong people. Our host takes our order. After 10 mins. Host comes back and says ribs aren't served till 4. Its noon. No where on the menu does it say ribs aren't served till 4. Your a BBQ place but don't serve your st luis ribs till 4, you Also don't list it. Waitress proceeds to justify it . Why is it not on your menu. And why didn't you tell us that when we ordered. Not 10 mins later. My wife did end up eating, which was sub par anyhow. Thx fatty. Won't be eating with you guys again.

RESPONSE to Your Response

Your waitress failed to come back and take my husband's order after 15 mins. I did not eat your ribs. Upon asking for to go boxes. Your waitress didn't bring them. We had to walk upfront to get a box. My husband did not eat your food due to the lack of customer service and poor service in general. Maybe work on your customer service and basic skills. Your food was sub par, service lacking and based off your response, deserve the 1 star your received. My husband and I normally would of walked out upon the initial experience of seeing the first waitress mess up the neiboring tables order. He did however try to give you a chance, allowing me to order and eat it.

Upon ordering. Your waitress fails to let us know that ribs are served after 4 oclock. Regardless of possibly overlooking the menu, she still failed to come up with a solution. She took the order, did not notify us of this 4 olock rule, then not only did she not come back herself, but sent another waitress 5 to 10 mins later. Who also failed to explain the 4 o'clock process. This furthering our confusion. We continue to ask for a menu to reorder. Upon receiving the menu again, neither waitress comes back for at least 15 to 20 mins to complete our order. At this time, I'm recieveing the Dr pepper ribs and my husbands order isn't even to the kitchen. This is a very poor experience overall. Granted a 1 start review may seem harsh but put yourself in our shoes,

Your on a trip, in a different city, you see a BBQ place and you think RIBS. You walk in. Sit down, neiboring tables order is delivered incorrectly. You place your order. Waitress takes it and menus. Walks away. Sends another waitress back 5 to 10 mins later and says we don't due half rack of ribs until after 4. So then you think, "okay IL take a full rack". She then walks away again, comes back after a minute or two and says "i meant we don't do ribs until 4" ( but the dr.pepper ribs are good to order.) So you ask for a menu, neither waitress comes back and takes our other order until my ribs come out 15 mins later. At this point my husband says "nope I'm done with this place, go ahead and eat hun, it is what it is". Being avid reviewers on yelp and Google, we share our experiences for others. This was our experience. CRUDDY SERVICE and the food was sub par. Your Mac and cheese was 3 out of 5. Your elote side was overcooked (1 out of 5) and your ribs were (3 out of 5.) So food overall was (2 out of 5) The service (1 out of 5) and your atmosphere was (2 out of 5). Your location is (1 out of 5) and menu is (3 out 5). That's (9 out of 25) below 50 percentile.

Food 2/5 Service 1/5 Atmosphere 2/5 Location 1/5 Menu 3/5 Total 9/25

I ate 2 out of the 6 ribs, barely touched the corn and ate half the mac.

Watch your cameras if you really wanna see the experience with my...
