It was horrible. We had made reservations and asked for a first floor, non-smoking room, pet-friendly room because we had two small dogs. When we arrived, the host said that their were no non-smoking rooms available. We were very disappointed, but exhausted after an 18 hour drive, so we decided to try what room was available. *The host did not even have that ready for us which required that I stand there and wait for him to find a first floor room for us. He then handed me the key and asked it I wanted to see if I liked the room before committing to stay. I went to the room and when I proceeded to open the door, the security latch was in use, a plume of cigarette smoke literally bellowed out of the room as some half dressed visitor watched television. We were both extremely surprised! I pulled the door closed quickly and returned to the office. I informed the host that the room was occupied. He said that his registry showed the room was empty. I told him that it definitely was not. He found another smoking room on the second floor. I reluctantly checked the room out. I almost threw up because the smell of cigarettes was so strong. My daughter slowly climbed the stairs with our two small dogs who were not familiar with stairs. They struggled to get up the steps. I had my daughter go back to the car to bring a can of air freshener to the room. I sprayed the room, but it was of little help. Just then, the phone rang. I picked it up and a lot of the buttons on the phone were missing, the cover of the phone was not secured, and when I picked up the handpiece, the contents of the phone rattled loosely in side. I tried to speak to whoever was calling, most likely the host. I said "hello" several times. No response...so I hung up. The phone rang again. I tried to talk to the caller. Again, no response. I hung up and it rang again. I told my daughter that we were leaving. The room smelled like an ashtray, the linen and mattress (which you could see through the thinly worn sheets) had cigarette burns, and the phone was broken. We gathered our little dogs, our can of air freshener, and my jacket, and went back down to the office to inform the host that we weren't staying. I sent my daughter to the car with the dogs as the host and I returned to the room to confirm that we had not used anything in the room to avoid being charged and to check the status of the poor condition of the phone. The host (who by the way, just started his shift) was very kind and apologetic, and more frustrated about the situation than I was. Understandably so, being that it was a previous host that I had spoken to about a hour before we arrived. So I believed him when he told that he was confused about the discrepancy concerning our reservation and what we were asking for when we arrived. I have worked in retail and hospitality, so I really felt for...
Read moreWe stayed at the Eloy Casa Grande Motel 6 on the 14th and 15th of January 2025. As soon as my husband and I arrived the man at the desk refused to give us his military discount. We were desperate took the room anyways. Went to the room, I immediately needed to use the restroom. This is where it gets quite disgusting fair warning. Apon approaching the toilet area I noticed there was dried urine on the outside of the toilet on the seat and on the ring. I looked into the tub and saw what I thought was to be a spider but it turned out to be a huge blob of black hair stuck & dried out in the drain. I went to the front office and asked if he could please have the room cleaned. He said certainly but nobody could be in there. This I completely understand for their safety and ours. We took our belongings put them back into our vehicle and went to lunch with a relative. We were gone approximately 4 hours. We were told that the room was ready. I go in to the room the hair plug is still in the tub, the urine is still present on the toilet. And I noticed there was a something that looked like lotion squirted all over the bathroom door and dried that I had not noticed before. I look into the corners the sink the outlets they all have Brown and red spots on them not sure what that was. I turned down the bed and inspected because of how filthy disgusting and putrid rest of the room was. My husband's discovered several dead bed bug carcasses. On further inspection we found live bed bugs in the shower curtain in the towels and deeper in the bed. We went to the office requested our money back so we can find somewhere else we were told all rentals are final. So we pulled a tarp out of our vehicle spreading over the bed spent the night. In the morning way before check out we went to turn in the cards for the door. The Man Behind the Counter which was the same one that checked us in ask me how our stay was. When I repeated what I had already told him 2 to 3 times he literally laughed at me and said you stayed the night though didn't you. Whatever you do do not under any circumstances stay in this motel. The parking lot was so pitted with potholes it was very difficult to navigate. The restaurant next door had roaches that were as big as an adult's hand please just do not stay here they are rude inconsiderate disgustingly filthy. So...
Read moreThe room itself was what you would expect from a renovated Motel 6. Decent bed and furniture, tidy, not dated, and nothing worn or damaged. The floor (wood) was quite dirty though - my babies were so dirty after an hour of playing that I had to clean the floor myself with a wet towel.
However, my room was not what I had requested during the reservation process. I had specifically asked for a room on the ground floor, no smoking, with microwave and fridge, reserved a crib, and made it clear that I was traveling alone with 2 infants. Upon check-in, I was offered a 2nd floor room, no smoking, but nothing else, and then had to ask again for a ground floor room. Nevermind the crib, because front desk didn't even know whether one existed for guests, or where one might be My ground floor room had no microwave or fridge, leaving me having to store my pumped milk in a basic cooler, leave the produce I had purchased (expecting a fridge to store it in) out overnight, and walk around the building to the front desk to microwave dinner and breakfast (no thanks). They could not switch rooms, as the only 2 left were smoking rooms - not ok for infants, and gross anyways. And they were "unable" to bring a spare microwave to the room. Really disappointed. Front desk had no idea any of those requests had been made, as apparently, when you call any motel 6 and press 2 for reservations, you get a call center - and they cannot or do not note any specific requirements. The guys behind me at check-in had the same issue.
Make sure you triple check any reservations you...
