I had extended my room twice no trouble with the over the phone booking. Then I went to extend again for another night. Everything seemed to be the same, but somehow this booking did not go through. The next day at 11 (and assuming I was extended) I was away from the room returning my rental car and my son was sleeping and he has been ill. They knock at the door demanding we get out, my son told them I extended and they basically told him he was lying, (rather than calling to verify with me and identifying the error and giving me an opportunity to remedy the situation (since the room was in my name and on my credit card). Instead they came back 2 more times and threaten to call the cops (all within a 15 min period) in the meantime I am trying to remedy the situation by calling them and he basically call me a lier also and threaten to call the police. I had offered for them to use the credit card on file, that I was trying and thought I had extended and said the mistake was at the reservation level or process and I was fine with making it right and that I would be there to talk with them personally as so as I was done at the rental car company. He said no and to come get my reciept and get out of the room or he would call the cops on me. He was right and I was a lier and cheet. Wow never has anyone been so rude to me or tell me I was basically a creep and not deserving of a room at that facility for another night. So my son got out stuff and went to the Burger King and waited for me and then we got a room someplace else. Then the icing on the cake is I wenty by 3 times during the day to get my receipt and they had a sign on the window and no one was there. It said they would be back in 15 min, so the first time I waited 1/2 hour then when I came back I waited another 15 min, then I came back that evening and he was there and I explained who I was and asked why he was so rude over the phone with me and kept saying nothing I was telling him was true and the he knew. He said he didn't like my son so didn't want us there (but that is after he banged on the door three times and my son had to keep getting up to answer the door and tell them to talk to me. He was very ill and this was very har on him, so yes he got upset when they kept badgering him, when I was the one renting the room. So I said that too the manager that night and said he had no business harrassing my son and he should have called me directly to manage the problem with the room and been willing to work with me to resolve this situation and give me the room extention. I said that night (when he kept telling me he knew more and he was right) that I would never stay in another OYO (eventhough I have never had a problem before and this particular hotel was good for me because it was close to my sisters house). I told him I had never been treated so poorly and especially over a situation that was a failer by this company to do the extention correctly. I was willing to give you all grace by continuing to extend but was never givn the opportunity to do so and called a lier and threaten to have the police called. So no matter what "good experiences I have had at this chain of hotels" I will never stay at one of your hotels again and I will be reporting you to the better business bureau, rate you poorly on Yelp and not be shy in letting my friends and family know this and recommend they never use this chain of hotels,...
Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE. As a truck driver I’ve stayed at questionable places, this one I’ll never stay at again. Booked a king bed room for two nights on the hotels app before I seen the hotel. Outside appearance is okay. People standing in the door ways smoking weed. Got in the hotel room and the AC wasn’t cooling the room, I checked the window and it was open but had the blinds pulled shut to appear closed. Found a live cricket in bed. Found an unknown bug dead in the sink area on the floor, obviously hadn’t been swept. Tub had a massive orange patch in it where a hole had been. Shower curtain rail was broken which prevented the curtain from shutting. Sink was dirty it had not been cleaned. Tv satellite was broken and didn’t have remote. Complained twice finally got the woman at the front desk to come fix it after receiving a remote. She came to the room stubbed out a cigarette before she came in the room (non smoking) She sat on the bed waiting for the tv to attempt to load up satellite. She said she was going to grab a cord and never came back. Gave up went to sleep. The bed was hard as a rock. Sink had obviously been leaking judging by white water spots on the wood under the open sink. Smell of weed burned my nose most of the night. Not against it but excessive smell and I had a baby with me. Next morning I requested a new room with a working tv. They gave me another room which was horrific. The longer I was in the room the more I discovered. As soon as you walk in the room it smells moldy. There was left over food left in the mini fridge. There was what appeared to be dried blood on the bed sheets and blanket along with purple nail polish on the blanket. There was a dirty towel left on the rack in the sink area. The shower curtain had what appeared to be dried blood on it and also something black, I’m guessing grease or oil off someone’s hands. There was dirty dried soap bars left in the shower that looked like it had been there awhile. The shower had extremely poor water pressure, took me forever to wash soap off my body. The “clean” towels in the bathroom were stained with what appeared to be blood streaks. There was dried soap bubbles on the wall and hair in the shower. I got in the bed and the box springs fell off the bed frame so I had to push the mattress back to fix the box spring. The wall by the bed lamp had apparently been on fire because there was black smoke residue on the wall. It was a miserable stay for two nights. The surrounding area isn’t bad, there was food options but there are other hotel options. Id try another hotel in the area before I’d stay here. I left feeling like I needed a shower. I paid over $170 for the two nights on the hotel app and the front desk also requested $50 hold on my card when I arrived, so be prepared for that. Poor cleaning, poor management overall. Day of check in was Dec 31st. We arrived around 7 ish. Lobby is CLOSED!! WTF. They have a buzzer/bell you can ring for assistance outside. It's the desert, sun is down lobby is closed it cold outside. Rang bell 4 times. Now panicking that I've been played and debating on calling police.... I decide to knock on glass window loudly since apparently their bell doesn't work.
Whoever checked me in was rude and made me check out OUTSIDE IN THE COLD. Was very specific about no damages no mess or I'll keep the $100 deposit. ALREADY so many red flags. I've told myself let's record the state of the hotel room to ensure they don't try to keep my deposit. I record and take photos. The room is trashed. Holes on walls, picture frames ripped out of wall, AC is DUCT Taped together splits in the doors, broken toilet paper holders. Fridge does not work, remote to tv does not work and NO HAND SOAP. After crying for a good 30 minutes about having to spend new years here, my boyfriend booked us a new hotel at Best Western.. shout out to Best Western for amazing service and check in that was inside! Within an hour I've checked out of OYO and went to Best Western. The OYO employees had zero questions as to why I was checking out,.did not ask if there was anything they could do. They checked me out the following day instead of same day so I was charged for my whole stay when I checked out within the hour of checking in due to the room state, and customer service.
