It is with a heavy heart that I am going to write a bad review for the Romantic RiverSong. My husband and I stayed here for 2 days during Thanksgiving. We really needed a refresh and this place seemed perfect. Everything about our stay was really fantastic. The staff was attentive, the room was well kept and clean and the food was amazing. They have a very strict no smoking (cannabis or cigarette) policy anywhere on property. My husband and I knew this before staying at the RiverSong. My husband is a smoker (of both products) and I am a non-smoker. Because of this he NEVER smokes inside anywhere, not our house, not our friends houses. He respects me greatly and my wishes of not being exposed to smoke in enclosed spaces. Because of their strict policy he went off property every time to smoke. He did not even bring his smoking paraphernalia in the room. After leaving the RiverSong we received an email stating we would be charged a $250 damage fee for using cannabis in the room. The email stated that evidence was found in the trash and that the bed sheets and towels smelled of cannabis smoke. I was with him the entire time, so I know he did not smoke in the room. I called immediately after receiving the email to request we be allowed to smell the sheets and towels for ourselves (we were still in the area). No answer. I immediately emailed them also no answer. I actually had to send a 2nd email 3 days later telling them of my intent to write a poor review to even receive an answer. The second email I received stated that they had photographic evidence of cannabis in the trash can. A photo that they did not attach. I had to request that the photo be sent. The photo was not clear enough to be obvious cannabis, or even that it was the trash from our room. Additionally our suitcase was open in the room during our entire stay, so one would think that everything in our suitcase would also smell like cannabis, so when we arrived home I immediately smelled our clothes. Not a single item clean or dirty smelled of cannabis. Now I have questioned many times why they would charge us with this very false charge. The only conclusion I have come to is that they profiled my husband. They witnessed him leave the property, several times, obviously to smoke, and I believe he may have smelled it on him as well. I would not recommend any smoker or cannabis user stay at the RiverSong, you simply can not trust that you too will not be charged $250 for damages you did not create. I did dispute the charge with my credit card, and I am hoping to the $250 will be refunded to me. Such a disappointment we thought we would be visiting the RiverSong for years to come. I would also like to state that my husband and myself stay at a lot of hotels for work, all non smoking and have never been accused of...

For my husband’s 50th birthday celebration, we stayed at the Romantic RiverSong Bed and Breakfast in Estes Park during their recent “Murder Mystery” weekend. Everything about our weekend was fabulous!

First of all, the Romantic RiverSong B & B is on an expansive, lovely property tucked just out of the center of town, in the woods and against the river, and offers expansive views of mountain peaks. Truly perfect location and setting! All suites are described as spacious, and that was certainly the case with ours (Wood Nymph), yet successfully capture the warmth and coziness people typically hope for when they choose to stay at a B & B. The larger home also includes a generously sized living room for guests to gather, take in the views of mountain peaks and wildlife, and a separate inviting dining room that easily accommodates all guests. Both rooms’ fireplaces were burning all weekend long...adding to the ideal ambience! I believe all suites also have wood burning fireplaces.

The meals are sincerely amazing: delicious variety, consistent use of fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. The cooking staff at the B & B master with discretion and seemingly with ease any dietary restriction and need! During a “murder mystery” weekend, additional meals are included besides the breakfasts.

The staff and owners of the B & B were always accommodating, accessible and warm in socializing with and caring for all their guests. It was clear these people love what they do and who they work with and for! Attention to every detail was so evident throughout our stay.

The “Murder Mystery” weekend was AMAZING! It was well written by a gentleman who stays the weekend and leads guests through the “experience” (Friday evening and Saturday evening...rest of the time is on your own). The organization of and guidance through the two night event resulted in everyone feeling at ease, thoroughly enjoying themselves and receiving validation that they contributed favorably to the overall “adventure”. Truly, everyone had a blast!

In summary, we highly recommend the Romantic RiverSong B & B in Estes Park, as well as their “murder mystery” weekends. We look forward to returning to our newfound...

2019 - We were sad to end our second stay at this beautiful place. We will be sure to come again! Very accommodating and tasteful filling breakfasts. Works well with people who have food restrictions. Our room was beautiful (Mountain Rose) and the grounds superb. The River was fast, although had many bites and 2 caught fish. The Innkeepers are nothing but friendly and helpful. Wifi worked great and streamed shows with our Kindle...😁 Built a fire outside in the fireplace and enjoyed company with a young buck grazing the property...Homemade snacks were amazing! Plus the generous gift of chocolate covered strawberries and candied pecans upon our anniversary arrival was super!

2020 - 3rd year in a row for our Anniversary getaway...Covid friendly with clean accommodations and contact free services. We are always impressed with our stay & they go above & beyond every time! We choose the newly renovated 'Morning Glory' room which featured a private entrance stairway, a spacious and clean room including a new soaker tub, seperate glass door shower, small dining table, coffee/tea service w/ midrange mini fridge and sofa seating area. A beautiful, large breakfast for 2 was left outside our room door each morning to enjoy inside or on our private ground level patio as well. Plenty of space to remain by yourselves on the 27 acre property and enjoyed fishing along the property river with close wildlife sightings. (Doe) Homemade goodies, ice, fridge/freezer and microwave are available daily in the guest service room which doubles as the contact free office, since the main lodge/dining room remains closed during the pandemic. This tiny area does need an update though, to make it more welcoming as it feels unclean & makes the homemade treats (even though they are placed in ziplock baggies) look unappetizing due to the surroundings of the small room. It just doesn't hold up to the beauty & cleanliness of the rest of property which is highly maintained. They do offer beautiful pottery mugs for purchase to commemorate your stay. Wifi worked great! We will always try & come back each anniversary and are never disappointed with this special beautiful getaway. Thank you for another...

This is a magnificent place to stay. Our room was comfortable and ample for 2 people. The bathroom and shower area well sized. Again perfect for two. The patio had a table with seating and two Adirondack chairs for lounging. There is a fireplace that kept the room toasty as needed. Though our visit was near offseason at the end of October the room did not get that cool when the logs went out. Breakfasts were superb! I do not think there is a place in Estes Park serving such an excellent meal. The ground were awesome too. Many places to walk and just sit and relax. I was able to see several Marmots but no photos of them as they disappear once they know you are attentive. A family of Bobcats came down the mountain then walked back to another portion of the property I did get pictures of them. There was also a very large Bull Elk hanging out with a couple of of his cows down by the river area one afternoon. Traffic noise is low due to the location down a dirt lane 5 minutes from the Beaver Meadows visitor center at the national park. I was unable to climb the trail to a private sitting area overlooking the valley which I was told was easy to do due to the switch backs up the mountain. Very happy I chose this location for my stay. Of which I planned a week out.

My wife and I stayed in Romantic RiverSong Inn's Mountain Rose room located upstairs in the main house. We have been coming to this wonderful B&B for a handful of years and love it! The perfect way to begin a hike in RMNP is with their large and delicious breakfasts. Allows us to hike for several hours without really needing to stop to eat lunch, LOL. Then, the perfect way to end a long hike in RMNP is to soak in their tub with a soothing fire going in the fireplace. Absolutely perfect staff always willing to talk and offer up suggestions for things to see/do around town. The reason for the 4 star room quality review is due to some signs of aging and during our most recent stay in the Mountain Rose room, we did not get the best night's sleep partly due to the noise coming from the radiant heaters in the room. Partly our fault for not bringing ear plugs, but we have not run into this issue during our previous stays here. We do know the B&B is recently under newer management, and perhaps some renovations are in the works. We look forward to returning soon and can't wait to do so. Thank you Romantic RiverSong Inn!
