If I could rate this experience a "0" I would. The nightmare started Thursday evening. When we got to our room the usual radiant white comforter had a dark dirty hue, almost as if someone had drug the bottom of their shoe from one side of the comforter to the other. When we investigated further we found multiple hairs throughout the entire bed. When we checked out the other bed we found multiple hairs in every layer of the other bed. The bathroom was less than stellar we had to buy cleaning supplies so that we could clean the room ourselves. Not to mention we had to strip down BOTH beds and make them ourselves.
When we arrived back at the hotel the next day we were shocked to find the room had been untouched, however the tip was gone so someone had been in the room. The soiled towels from the night before were still on the bathroom floor. The garbage bin was still full, the toiletries were not refilled, the beds were in the same condition we left them. We had no towels, no wash cloths, no anything. We had to get more towels from the desk.
By this time (two days of the room being neglected) we started asking to speak to the supervisor. We were given the run-around for two days. They refused to give a direct number to the supervisor we were told to send a complaint to an e-mail address that never replied back to us. At one point we couldn't even contact the front desk. The phone would ring and ring and no one from the front desk would answer the phone. So I decided to try the number on the back of the Hilton Honors member card. We told the customer service representative about the issues we've had for the past three days, and how we were given the run-around and empty promises.
Customer service was able to rectify the issue. They documented the entire situation and were able to find a solution. As a Hilton Honors member I was shocked to be treated this way. For years I have only used Hampton Inn hotels, and the rooms have always been very clean. The linen is usually radiant white, but not this time. The toiletries have always been restocked, we've never ran out of towels, or toilet paper, we've never had waste baskets full for two days, we've never had the front desk to not answer calls, or been lied to when presenting a complaint. We come to Evansville every year and have never had a bad visit. This visit is the very reason why we most definitely won't be using this...
Read moreI stayed here 2-13-24 and upon me going downstairs to eat breakfast and going to smoke at 9:45 am the next morning right before checkout someone entered my room and stole 10,000$ worth of my jewelry. Even stole my phone chargers and fingernail clippers also. Mind you there's no safe in the room and they claim no cameras also but was not know until after incident. And upon notifying staff of this horrible incident they didn't do anything to try and help other than repeatedly stating that they asked all house keepers and no one admitted to it OBVIOUSLY, and that they know no one went in there and that I was on no one's board even though I was checking out that day and that no housekeeper goes in the rooms before 11:00 and they know that no one has left the building and that they was going to Pat everybody down and search them if they had to. And as fast as they came right back out there's no way she searched or patted anybody. So next the GM was called just to also have a bad attitude saying just tell him call the police and came out and spoke with me just to laugh in my face saying there's nothing they can do anyway because they're not responsible for lost or stolen items and I responded well how are you not responsible when they came up out of my room that's supposed to be secured and he laughed and just said because we're not. Then the front desk said that one of them knocked on the door but no one was in there . So I said whoever knocked on the door must be who stole it and I asked so who is she because no one should have been knocking if you claim I was on no one's board. And then at this point no one had anything else to say. once I seen I wasn't getting anywhere with any of the staff here all the way up to the gm I waited for the police and made a police report and then contacted Hilton and opened a case. Now mind you I also work at Hilton myself so I called my GM and asked for her assistance on finding out who went into my room and when she contacted their GM he refused to get on the phone. But we're not going to give up. Because someone there knows what happened to my belongings. And for them not to want to help in any kind of way makes you think they're all...
Read moreReserved two rooms for a Saturday night. Called the hotel to make sure they had adjoining rooms and was told they did. My e-mail confirmation clearly stated Your connecting rooms are confirmed with Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton. Checked in and the lady at the desk asked my name. Typed into the computer, put the key cards in a folder with a paper and handed them to me. She did not say another word to me. Went up to the room and they were not connecting rooms. Went down to the front desk and waited for her to politely tell another person checking in about the breakfast hours, checkout time, restaurants nearby and that they have a discount, etc. She didn't say any of that to me. I showed her the e-mail with confirmed connecting rooms and she said they don't have connecting rooms on that property. Frustrated I went back up to the room and my family member staying in the other room came out and said the room was horrible. I went in. The smell was horrible. There was a small bed (full at most) in the middle of the room with blankets. No bed skirt, no décor, on the walls, not furniture, etc. It was a small bed in an empty big room. The air was turned off and when I went to turn it on I noticed how dirty the window and window sill above the unit was. My family member said there was also a lot of dirt in the bathtub. I didn't look in there. I went back down to the front desk where the woman was again politely checking in another guest. When it was my turn I explained the conditions of the room and that we were leaving and wanted a refund. No questions asked, she went and called her manager. I was told that I couldn't receive the refund until the next day, they would just keep me checked in and give the refund at that time. I had her put it in writing. I truly think she knew the room would be that way and that is why she didn't speak to me during check in. I did receive the refund for both rooms, the next day without any problems. This experience has definitely changed my opinion of...
