I wish I didn't have to write this as I've never had a bad experience at this restaurant before, but tonight was a first so I'm only giving it 3 star instead of 1 or 2. My dad and I walked in for dinner and the only other customers were a group of four guys already sitting at a table. They had no food or drink, but it was nothing out of the ordinary. There were two employees out front, a guy making food and a woman who took our order. After we ordered, we sat down and waited. 15 minutes pass and still nothing. Customers come and go, occasionally taking food with them because they were Grubhub delivery people. Turns out those two employees were the only employees at all on this Thursday night. We could hear the woman tell customers it would be a 30-35 minute wait because they were so backed up.
It took 30 minutes for us to get our food and I don't know how long those four guys had been waiting but they finally got their food about five minutes before us. We didn't receive an apology for the wait either.
She seemed stressed, but the least she could have done was tell us there was going to be a wait like she had done with everyone else. We would have understood and just gone somewhere else. I hope this doesn't happen again.
Edit: I want to clarify after reading other reviews, this woman was not rude. She did seemed stressed, but other people could have misconstrued it as rude. She kept trying to cook to help the other employee, but customers kept coming in so she would have to stop and tend to the counter. Really I just think scheduling needs to be better. A minimum of three employees at any given time should be the standard. Four incase...
Read moreWorst experience ever! We had dinner at Wayback Burgers on Crosspoint Boulevard a few nights ago and it was awesome so we decided to go back for breakfast this morning. We ordered four breakfast sandwiches, two with bacon and two with sausage and four hash browns but when we got home we realized there was only two sandwiches so we called and told the young lady who took care of us that she had messed up our order and she apologized and said that she would have the other two sandwiches ready for us shortly so when we got there we were expecting to get two more sandwiches with sausage because the other two appeared to only have bacon, but we received two sandwiches with just bacon... So my husband went in to have sausage put on one of them and the cook got an attitude with him we explained to him after calling my son that yes sausage and bacon were both on the two sandwiches that we already had, but either way the order was incorrect because we were supposed to get for sandwiches two of each and the cook continued to show his attitude for us insisting on fixing our order... between the first visit and then the second trip to get it fixed we drove for an hour to finally get our breakfast correct and this guy has the nerve to get an attitude with us... Our dinner visit the few nights before was our first time eating there and we enjoyed it so much that we wanted to go back for an anticipated second visit... just to be treated with disrespect and ignorance! We will never go back to Wayback Burgers on Crosspoint...
Read moreThis was a terrible experience. The restaurant was filled with one group of people who took the venue over. Staff could not handle the orders. They were out of sweet tea. The young lady behind the counter was advised of this twice by a member of our party of three. When I finally approached her to ask her about the tea, her reply was, "There's tea over there. " I responded that the sweet tea was out and she retorted, "Well there's plain tea and sugar over there" and she said it with a smirk on her face. She said, "As you can see we've been busy in here and don't have time to make it. " The person who wanted the tea left without a drink which he paid for. When we got home, the same person who ordered a single burger, no cheese, had cheese all over his burger so could not eat the burger. The other two of us had burgers basically inedible and I threw mine out. I guess you get what you pay for as we were taking advantage of the Evansville Thunderbolts' special with Wayback Burgers where when they have 30 shots on goal at a home game, attendees can get a free single burger if you purchase a side and a drink. We used to go to Wayback all the time but following the Pandemic service and food has hit rock bottom. We'll be taking our business to Five Guys which has excellent...
