I love Texas Roadhouse. I love BBQ and when I saw it on my choice of options, I grabbed it. A bit later as I was thinking, I knew I screwed up again, as I was at a steak house, and not a BBQ pit! I remembered I have tried the BBQ there a couple times, and have never been impressed. Mission BBQ is the place to go here in Evansville for BBQ. Once you have had the best in town, none of the rest are gonna be exciting. I appreciate very much that Texas Roadhouse honors and recognizes Veterans, and I went yesterday for my complimentary Veterans Day meal, as u will see in this review. I should have got the Steak Meal since I was at a steak house, however, my last experience of getting a proper steak there took 3 times to get it right. So, by the time I finally got my steak cooked properly, everyone else was done eating. Yes, the steak was Awesome, it was just the inconvenience of waiting so long and my friends and family were already done. I love giving 5 Star Reviews, which I will for the atmosphere, the service from Curly Hair Josh, and the other parts of the meal, but the BBQ served yesterday was a 1 star at best, as there were tough and hard parts in it, as well as the bread was hard that came out with the meal. I was going to just leave it, but I put it in the take out box with the rolls so the wife could see it, and try it if she wants to. Thanks Texas Roadhouse for thinking of us Veterans, it is much appreciated. I will be back for steak, rolls and salad, and will request the 5 Star Curly Haired Josh to be our waiter, he was Awesome!!!

I didn't take a photo of my whole meal, but the main thing that made me want to go back. I ordered my steak rare as I usually do. Rare is defined in the culinary world as seared with a warm center. When I cut into my steak (pictured below) it was cold. There are a no grill marks on my steak. What's pictured here is blue, not rare (although blue is also seared, just red in the middle). If it wasn't cold, I would have eaten it no problem as I also like my steak blue, especially a sirloin or filet minon. However I was concerned it wasn't cooked to temperature, so I kindly asked the waitress to cook it to medium rare. It took a little while, but when it came out again it was perfectly rare with an extra side of corn. The manager that brought it back asked me to cut into the steak to ensure I was satisfied before leaving the table. Sometimes you don't get what you expect, but too many people hold the same expectation each time they visit an establishment. Maybe this cook was learning, under too much pressure or has a strong opinion on what blue/rare/medium rare actually is. Either way, I left satisfied and full. Staff was attentive and pleasant, even though it was very busy, our table was clean and we didn't have to wait at all to be seated (two top). Love Texas Roadhouse!

This is the 1st time coming to Evansville, IN and decided to come to their Texas Roadhouse to eat and I must say that I was utterly impressed! My wait time was less than what they originally said (a 1 hour wait was reduced to 45 minutes), My waitress was attentive, the atmosphere was great and my strip steak was cooked perfectly! The people are all very nice and decent, which makes the experience even better! And I really like the fact that TR honors our military members and vets, that is wonderful! If and when I come back to Evansville, I will revisit this restaurant at some point. I would highly recommend this great restaurant to friends and visitors, like me! 🙂🥩

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have never eaten at this roadhouse and I will never again! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with staff that had nasty attitudes and eye rolls. They refused to seat us because we were 1 person short in our party. 1. After being rude too us and making us wait longer to be seated the hostess actually did a head count before she would put our name back in and we waited more. Once seated our waitress was decent but went down hill quickly. We had a birthday and 2 more family members showe up to surprise my 14yr old niece. We had no idea they were coming. Our waitress pulled up 2 more chairs but it didn't last long. A manager made them move because of were THEIR EMPLOYEE not us seated them. Apparently it was in an aisle. So we squeezed into our booth. No room to move or barely eat. We had already ordered before our surprise 2 guest showed. The entire table had there food except 2 of us. And we're almost done eating before we received our steaks. Both steaks were not cooked correctly and when I asked for A1 sauce our waitresses was clueless. A different manager came by and I asked her for A1 sauce and told her my steak was now cold because I have waited so long and she said "do you want me to heat it up?" WHAT??? Heat it up? That's insane. A1 sauce came out in 2 small plastic cups but 4 od us had streaks. So no bottle..The birthday girl got the wrong food so she brought a plate and took the meat back to the kitchen but left her sides that were drowning in bq sauce that she didn't order. My vegetables were hard and cold and sent back 2 times and never got made correctly. At the end I asked for a manger and the owner came over. He made every excuse on why our meal was no good. Accused us of having more in our party than was checked in. My husband explained to him they surprised us and his excus was it made it harder for the kitchen. Our food was ordered and most of the table received theirs before they arrived. He couldn't answer on why 2 of us waited on food and it was wrong. He argued about the waitress taking meat back to the kitchen and then bringing a burnt chicken for her to eat. He never offered a discount. He never apologized for their part in making the food wrong. Just kept saying it was because we had 2 show up later. That was the owner! We all paid for food and drinks. Made his establishment money but all he cared about was getting us out of there. Before it was all over we had 2 managers, 3 different waitress/ waiters and the owner at our table. And still nothing was done. Offered to replace some meals as we had already been handed the check and we were not waiting. We had been there stuck in a booth, squished long enough. It was my first time and my last time at this Texas Road House. Oh not to mention it was so cold you could barely concentrate. Teeth chattering and goose bumps kind of cold. Everyone in our area were complaining of how cold it was. There is comfortable and there is way to cold and it was like being in a meat freezer. Never, ever again. And I am telling...

I have never made a review for google but I thought this was extremely necessary because of the awful few hours my family and I had spent here. Tonight the whole family and I decided to go to Texas Roadhouse for a nice meal with rolls. That was definitely the opposite of what we got. We had called hours ahead to make a reservation. When we were informed that the table was ready for us, we went inside and proceeded to wait half an hour for our table. When we finally got our table, our waiter, Kaleb, was nice but when we got our drinks, we realized our cups were absolutely disgusting. We could feel the oil and grime on the side and didn’t want to trust it (because it could be the same on the inside). No problem. We just wanted clean cups. However, our waiter had gotten this huge attitude over it. When he came back, my dad’s cup was still dirty.. as if he tried to wipe it off with a paper towel. We asked nicely again and he finally came back with a clean cup for my dad. The waiter proceeded to have an attitude with us the rest of our time there. Once getting our food, it was good, I’ll give them that. My dad was the only one who had gotten bad food. He had gotten an 8 oz New York. It tasted as if it was frozen and cooked frozen (almost like a hamburger would taste). No taste whatsoever. After making the complaint, Kaleb did nothing to help out and offered us nothing as replacement. We were still charged for his meal even though it was obvious he only at the applesauce. We try our best to tip our waiters/waitresses well. But we usually leave money on the side. We gave him a Texas Roadhouse gift card and $75. Our change was $1.88. He did not intend to give any of it to us. He came up after taking our money and said, “you’re good to go.” He gave us the money from his wallet when we ask for our change. No waiter or waitress should just expect they’re receiving a tip.

If you come to Texas Roadhouse in Evansville, IN to have a good time with your family and not expect any issues, I recommend...

5-9-22 review: I wanted to hold off on this review and see if it improved but it hadn't. A few months ago, for the first time in my life, I had to send a steak back. It was entirely all grissel and impossible to eat. The steak that came next didn't even have grill or flame marks and looked like it was boiled and had no seasoning on it. I opted not to eat it. Luckily they didn't charge me for it. Last night I returned hoping that things would improve. However, we had 2 sets of silverware still dirty. 1 set had what looked like wet bread all over it and the napkin itself was soaking wet. My son's kabob was soggy and the meat tasted off. My new York steak was cooked correctly but lacked seasoning and my sweet potato was so soggy it was basically a soup still in the skin. My wife chicken in her sald was cold and tasted microwaved. The shrimp was decent enough but they didn't bring the chabata bread that it comes with. The waitress came by once and we didn't see her again until she asked about paying. I had no idea it was already generated on the device. Because we were waiting on the waitress to get boxes to go, we ended up being there as clean up time came. People literally started sweeping under the table as we waited, so I sent my family to the car until I paid and got boxes. It was unpleasant to be cleaned around as I couldn't do anything until the waitress returned.its unfortunate that the food quality has diminished and the waitress was just ready to leave. I still left a 20% tip, but I didn't feel like it was earned. I had to ask someone else for new silverware. Hopefully it will get better, but I think for now, we will be trying others places...
