Terrible hotel. The place smells bad the second you walk in. The bath drain is broken and has to be propped open (the mini lotion bottles work well for this), and the toilet seat slips off to the side when you sit on it. One of the comforters had a big rip in the middle. To top it all off when we got a luggage cart to load everything onto the car at checkout, it had some major issues with the wheels, they were very hard to push and acted as if they had four flat tires. It would have been easier just to carry the luggage ourselves. The breakfast was a disaster. We went downstairs at 7:30 and there were no eggs, no sausage, no fruit, no yogurt, and the potatoes were oddly white as if someone literally cut up potatoes and dumped them into the warmer. The guy in charge had more yogurt but it was frozen like a rock. Not a great experience.

The front desk staff was kind, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. When we checked in, they gave us a room that wouldn’t even open. After coming up to manually open it, we found the room was dirty—there were fast food remnants all over and an unmade bed. The staff member admitted there was a king suite available but said he couldn’t upgrade us because his manager would get him in trouble. Since there were no other king rooms, we were downgraded to a queen bed despite booking a king. We didn’t make a fuss, but when we got to the new room, there were kids’ toys hiding in the corners. They obviously don’t do detailed cleanings. To top it off, the bed linens and towels were stained. This was such a frustrating and disappointing experience.

I called to book a 2 queen bed with pull out couch for myself and family, I asked during this conversation if they had a military discount as my husband is a veteran. I was told they did and that 10% was the amount. At check in the gentleman was not welcoming and even stated that the room we had reserved was not able eligible for military discount, which was a contradiction to the phone conversation I previously had with a staff member. He did give us a refund of $14 or $16 dollars, after my asking why when I called to book that specific room was I told that they do offer a discount to only be met at check in with the answer being it wasn’t eligible for the discount. We got our room key and began taking our bags to the room. After we got settled I went downstairs and saw a sign on the door to the pool stating that it was closed for maintenance. I asked the lady at the front desk, as I understand there are different levels of maintenance and I was curious if it would be open at all during our stay. I was met with a very curt response of “ma’am the pool is closed indefinitely” and the look on her face from my asking made it clear I was interrupting something she was doing or she was annoyed that I even asked, as if I was stupid for even asking my question. Now we were staying at this hotel due to a death in the family and we were there to attend the funeral services. At this point myself and family just wanted to get dinner and relax before laying down to sleep. We got food delivered to the room and as I sat on the edge of the bed to eat something flew up and under the lamp shade that is stationed between the beds, and when I looked it was a bug, and bug was in our room. Other family members were staying at this hotel as well and they all saw the bug that came out of our room. I have photos. My husband did take the bug down to the front desk in an ice bucket bag to let them know and the lady simply stated she would let management know, and no offer for a new room was made to us or any other kind of discount, at this point I started looking around the room and found the level of cleanliness pathetic. The bed skirt on one of the beds had stains and dust build that looked like it hadn’t been changed in months, there was caked on grime behind and around the nightstand that sits between the two queen beds. There was tile in the bathroom that was not secure and grout that was missing, the lights in the bathroom were broken. It was one of the worst rooms I have stayed in let alone kept my children in as well. When we got up in the morning for the breakfast that was provided, we went down and decided to just grab some yogurt and juice as the staff member there started cleaning up the food before everyone was done so it was made clear that they were done with breakfast and wanted to put it up. We packed up our things and loaded everything up and went back to the front desk to let them know we were checking out, the gentleman again was not welcoming and clicked buttons on his computer without making eye contact, I asked him if the lady from the evening shift had let him know of the bug we found and his response was yes, I’ll let her know. We paid a total $201 to stay at this hotel and that was way too much for the experience we had. So I’m not sure what is going on there at that hotel but I will never stay there again and I will tell anyone who will listen to not stay there as the accommodations were awful and the people working there being so disinterested in providing a comfortable and...

Horrible experience! Horrible staff! The GM was ignorant and accusatory. Front desk male at checkin had the personality of a rock. Front desk female at check-out was a total embarrassment to this motel. Upon checkout, I express my disappointment on how my room smelled, and how uncomfortable I felt in the room. This woman then made me feel as if I was a villain. She said I was yelling and mean, when nothing of the sort occurred. I was even toned. I never raised my voice. And a woman, who I never met in my life, stepped in and supported me saying, “that I never ‘yelled’ or ‘was mean’ as accused by this front desk employee. This front desk even went as far as threatening to call some police officers that were staying on the 3rd floor, supposedly. It was shocking how this person overreacted the way she had. She kept trying to tell me too, that there was not rugs in the room I was given, that it was tile. I couldn’t believe she was trying to call me a liar. Having checked in at 1030p, the total cost of this room was over $145 with a dog fee. In the end, I was honestly only looking to get some sort of refund, not fully, but something that would have made me feel better for the horrible sleep and uncomfortable stay I had. The GM did call me a couple hours after my departure, but she too, made me out to be the “bad guy.” She was unprofessional and accusatory, refusing to give any refund. I just told her that’s fine, I am just going to write an honest review of my experience. I am completely appalled by this entire experience and interaction.

I am not one to usually write reviews, but I do read reviews. I hope everyone reads this review. Take my honest opinion and experience… stay away from this place! It’s rated with 3 Stars according to Google, but they are lucky to get 1 Star in my eyes. I would never return to this place, if it was the only motel in town! I am not overstating my words. One last thing, my clothes smell when I got home, and so did I. I had to take a shower, just to get the smell off of me. I can’t wait to see if this GM responds to my review, and how she will spin this...

BE WARNED! DO NOT STAY HERE. CHARGED MY CARD FOR TWO RESERVATIONS AND REFUSING TO REFUND!

Booked a room on February 19, 2015 arriving February 20, 2015 and departing February 21, 2015. Made reservation over the phone with the hotel directly.

Arrived at the hotel on the night of the 20th. The young lady at the front desk said she had no reservation for me. Checked using my phone number, name, credit card, etc. Even called another Comfort hotel to verify I wasn't booked at a different hotel. She said she had vacancies and booked me a room.

Checked out the morning of Saturday the 21st.

Noticed 2 room charges posting to my bank account on Sunday the 22nd. Called the hotel and was told I would need to speak to the manager on Monday the 23rd. Called and spoke to Rick on the 23rd. He was immediately defensive with the bizarre attitude that the customer is always wrong. He said I must be wrong and that one of the charges was probably pending (I verified with my bank that both charges had posted and cleared. Nothing was pending.)

Rick told me he would have to look into it and would call me the next day, Tuesday the 24th. On Tuesday no call came so I called. Rick told me that I had obviously booked a room and no showed and then booked a room and that it was my fault for not canceling the first room.

Rick was not interested at all in talking things through. He was accusatory and would not commit to a refund. All he would tell me was that he would have to figure out how I had a room booked that I didn't show up for and got a room on the same day before he would do a refund. He kept making excuses that there was nothing he could do. The system just automatically charges if a room is booked and the customer doesn't check in. So essentially it was my fault, tough luck, I lose.

I have filed a dispute through my bank but what a pain! Now I will have to wait for that process to play out before I finally get my refund. All it would take is for this hotel to look at the circumstances, apologize, and issue a refund.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER...
