Beware ! Very bad experience ! Rooms are out dated and the room that I stayed in had a very strong smell of mold and humidity. Upon my check in I had informed the front desk lady that I was most probably staying long term and will be paying on a weekly basis, the owner then proceeded out of nowhere and without authorization to charge my card 1,500 for a 5 day stay saying that I said I was staying for a month so he was charging half the month when my current booking was just for 5 days he then proceeding to refund me the money but that really threw me off financially since refunds take a few days. That was a huge mistake that shouldnt have happened !!!. 2 days later on a Saturday morning at 8:00AM while I am completely asleep I hear a hard banging on the front door I obviously woke up startled the banging kept going let me clarify that it wasnt a subtle knock on the door it was a consistent bang when i open the door in my pajamas and not really ready to receive anyone the front desk lady says she needs to come in to my unit to inspect for a possible leak and she walked in and went into every single area of the apt Again COMPLETE INVASION OF PRIVACY phones exist for reason a call from the office would have been a better decision instead of randomly showing up at my door and walking into my unit. Then she sees i have a dog in the unit which I had mentioned to them that I had a emotional support dog coming. She mentions that pets arent allowed. I proceed to decide to check out of the hotel since i have already had too many issues and the apt was not worth it again it was moldy, small and that unit had no cable or netflix access. As I check out I tell to them to refund me the security deposit of $184.00 the owner then says that he is keeping the money as a penalty for bringing a dog. THIS HOTEL IS NOT WORTH IT. I just switched to a much modern and bigger airbnb in the same street for a better price and A LOT BETTER AMMENITIES ! So if you are staying at this hotel for any reason I recommend booking through a third party app. I REGRETT EVER...
Read moreVilla Venezia is the perfect solution to your short or long term vacation needs, a wonderful, quiet facility. Well maintained, we felt very safe and were happy we chose to stay at the Villa Venezia, this is our second stay at Villa Venezia, I think our first was in 2018.
The Villa is located about 1.2 miles from the beach and about 1.2 miles for Las Olas Boulevard, very walk able to the beach and Las Olas Boulevard shops, restaurants, bars. If you stay on the beach the walk to Las Olas Boulevard can be about 2 + miles. The location is very quiet as compared to staying at or near the beach.
Villa Venezia is exceptionally clean, exceptionally well managed and accommodating. The manager, Andrea, is on site if you have any needs. For longer term stays you can adjust your room cleaning services.
The available accommodations, are one bedroom, two bedroom and rooms without bedrooms, we stayed in a one bedroom and the size was good for our one month vacation.
At the front of Villa Venezia is a street view, at the rear is a water or canal view. The canal view is very quiet, only one time did we hear any loud sounds from boats passing on the canal outside of our room.
Also provided is a wonderful, clean, heated pool at the rear of the main building, lots of chairs are available. Near the pool is an area where guests can grille using a gas grille.
Accommodations in our room included a kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, electric stove and oven. Our room had a separate bedroom with a bathroom off the bedroom. Also provided was cable television. There is a dining area, at least in our room. If you need details on your room choice check with Andrea, the owner.
The manager, Andrea, is wonderful, on site, always super accommodating, a great host and very responsive to any needs.
Ours was a perfect, extraordinary one month stay, we have already reserved our same room...
Read moreWe are so glad we found this charming boutique hotel. What a wonderful stay we had. Oksana, the manager, is an absolute delight. Our room was spotless and so comfortable. The other guests were very friendly and have been staying here for years as snowbirds. It was like one big family. Luna, the villa cat, is a sweetie, and it was nice to have her stop by for a visit now and then. The location was perfect, and we met Carlos with Cab Daddy, and he provided all the transportation we needed via his golf cart business. His prices are reasonable! Coffee on the deck, watching the sun come up each morning was so relaxing. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed right in the villa. It is so nice to find a hidden gem like this. So many of these wonderful little places are being torn down so modern buildings can go in, but those have no character at all... just a bunch of steel, concrete and glass. I hope the owner realizes what an amazing treasure he has, not only with the building itself, but with Oksana, and keeps both for many years to come. If we find ourselves in Fort Lauderdale again, we will definitely try to stay here again. Thank you, Oksana, for a wonderful stay. ...
