We stayed in room 205 "America's Cup" for 4 nights over our spring break (2 adults, 2 boys ages 8 and 10). We found the location to be perfect, and the rooms were clean and well-decorated. There was one bedroom and our boys used the pull-out sofa in the living room. For the planners out there: there were some k-cups, sugars, and shelf-stable half and half cups in the cupboard. The walk-in closet held an ironing board, hair dryer, extra sheets, a comforter, an extra pillow, 2 pool towels, extra bath towels, 2 beach chairs, and a beach umbrella (awesome!). There were little bottles of body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion in the small, but clean bathroom. There were also some extra bottles of sunscreen and pool floats down by the pool area. I have to say that we were really pleased with everything available to us at this hotel! And it was fun to look at the art around the pool and stairway spaces. We had 2 balconies with nice views of the canals and there was a nice bottle of red wine and 2 bottled waters waiting for us at the table sitting in front of a massive window with beautiful waterway and Las Olas views. I would caution families with young children that this particular room has a lot of glass tables and sharp edges to the furniture. The hotel itself is great for kids (ours loved the pool, the ping pong tables, and the resident lizards), but 205 may be better suited for ages 6 and up. We also utilized the free covered golf cart service (you need to download the "circuit" app) to get ourselves down to the beach with the chairs and umbrella. It's definitely walkable without the golf cart (we didn't rent a car on this trip), but it was handy in the midday sun with all of our beach stuff. If you were to take a lyft/Uber, it's only a $4 or $5 dollar ride because it's so close. We walked up Las Olas for dinner a few times, and that was also an easy walk, but we ended up taking a local golf cart service back on our last night because our kids were pooped. ||Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel! We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Fort Lauderdale. It's location is ideal and I loved that it was nestled in a quiet area with neat art and pretty views. The staff was very friendly and we always felt safe and welcome here. It was the perfect spot...
Read moreIsle of Venice is paradise. The hotel is self-serve with coded locks and an easy check-in, but I was lucky to meet Ilan right in the parking lot when I arrived — and let me tell you, he’s a phenomenal host.
We always felt safe, and getting in and out of the hotel and the spacious parking lot was a breeze. The whole place has a calm, breezy energy — palm trees swaying, quiet seating areas by the pool and marina, everything beautifully kept. You can tell the hotel was designed and is managed with care and attention to detail: the pool has an interior ledge to lean your upper body on and chill, the apartments smell wonderful, the beds are massive and ridiculously comfortable, I enjoyed the best sleep I've had in a long time, and the showers have perfect pressure. We always felt comfortable walking around the property and really making it our own, eating breakfast outside by the marina. We stayed for two weeks, during the low season, and didn't run into any other guests, which made it feel extra peaceful.
I’m extremely sensitive to smells and very particular about cleanliness. I stayed in two different rooms, and both were spotless and smelled fresh — which sounds basic, but is not a given. In fact, after our two weeks I checked into an Airbnb near Wynwood for an event, but the place had bad odors, so I left after one night and called Ilan who kindly welcomed us back right away in the morning. We happily drove the 40 minutes up and down that weekend just to return to Isle of Venice — that’s how much we loved it.
Ilan is the kind of host you know you can reach out to at any time — warm, attentive, and generous. The location is a dream, too. Las Olas Boulevard has such a charming vibe; the moment I pulled up to town after driving on the highway, I felt at ease.
I value personalized, clean, quiet, flexible service when I travel, and that’s exactly what I found here. Isle of Venice is like home away from home, and I’ll always choose it when I’m in...
Read moreWe have been coming to Fort Lauderdale for many decades, but the condo we stayed at; owned by my parents was recently sold. We needed to find a new home away from home, Isle of Venice was our first attempt and thankfully a successful one.
The Owner Ilan is an artist and has been busy updating the entire premises inside and out. Ilan stopped by a few times and chatted with us, which was nice. The grounds are well maintained and his art is apparent throughout the property. Quirky and whimsical for sure with a tiki-island vibe; the neon lighting surrounding surfboards, palm trees and vehicles lends itself to a pretty unique relaxed environment.
There is no office check-in; however, Margret was there to greet us; she was very nice and helpful in explaining how we enter our room and showing us around. She was attentive and checked on us each day to make sure any of our needs were met. There are several employees making sure things are kept in working order; pool and grounds workers are there often to keep everything tidy.
The rooms are large; each different from the other, checking online photos will help you make a decision on which one suits your needs. Some rooms have balconies with a view of the waterway where yachts are docked and others have a view of the garden.
The place is clean, with a comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower and they provide many things for your convenience, beach chairs, wheeling cooler and a community area where there is sunblock, moisturizer, bug spray, etc. The price is very fair for the area being about a mile from the beach and a couple of blocks away from the Las Olas restaurants and shops . The pool is heated, clean and has some interesting tiki stone statues and palm trees to add to the...
