Update:
Unfortunately the service has gone down over the years... I used the whirlpool and noticed afterwards that my swimming suit was completely discolored and ruined. I tried to soak it 24 hours but it only continues to release colored water and now will discolor anything it touches when wet! No more use for this swimming suit. I also saw skin irritation develop after using the whirlpool. A week later the irritation remains. I have now tried for one week to get the discolored chlorine out of the garment, but nothing has helped and the swimming suit continues to release color when wet.
When I notified the hotel of the problem and showed the garment to the (sales) manager who was at the front desk I was simply told the pool guys must have dropped too much chlorine in there. She took my room number at that time... maybe because my swimming suit dripped colored water and I was concerned the bathtub would be stained when the swim suit was hung to dry. No inquiry was made to see how the hotel could compensate for the problem.
Another person at the front desk next day said no one ever uses the pool. I was actually hoping to see the manager but she said that the manager was out busy doing something at the moment and ensured me that the sales manager would have already notified the manager of the problem. Unfortunately there was never any contact or even an attempt to compensate for the damages. Our family had a vacation planned upon my return and I needed to find me a new swimming suit in a hurry before our travel so this became a big issue.
During my last stay I inquired about the missing ottoman and was told they just dumped them from most of the rooms as most were "soiled" and did not replace them.
Another thing I would wish to see is much better lighting in the rooms and light color walls. The dark color eats up the little light that's available and unfortunately it is hard to read and enjoy the room unless it's daylight and hopefully sunny... Also noticed the Bible is missing from the rooms and found old snack wrappings (trash) left between the night stand and bed this time...
Breakfast staff was still friendly but I will plan to stay at another...
Read moreI'm Hilton HHonors member and end up staying at a lot of different hilting properties which include Hilton garden, inns, Hilton, Hampton Inn, Double trees, etc.
If you've ever stayed at a Hilton garden Inn, I would say this is a pretty typical hotel. A lot of them popped up around the same time frame and have kind of the same furniture and furnishings and style of the date range of when they were constructed. They are definitely getting a little bit older and dated as far as furnishings are concerned, but this hotel was still adequate and clean.
The beds were comfortable and the shower and bathroom were clean. That being said, as I mentioned, they are definitely more dated in style and had the old style tub instead of an actual shower stall that they have in a lot more of the newer or modern or refurbished Hilton properties.
It is close to the airport though, so if you're looking for something not too far away this would be a pretty good option. There are also other restaurants and entertainment not that far away.
One nice feature of the Hilton gardens ends is they tend to have a separate sitting chair and a lamp for a comfortable place to sit. I also of course have a desk and a chair separately, but it's nice to have a place to sit. That is a little bit more comfortable if you want to watch TV or read.
Hilton garden inns also have a decent fridge and a little microwave there if you need to keep some things cool or heat some things up or meals if you're staying in the area.
Once again, if you know what a Hilton garden is and what to expect, I would say this place would meet that expectation. You are new. Just know that it is a little bit dated and not a super modern hotel but it is clean...

Hotel billing scam … I’m a Hilton Diamond member. Stayed one night this week. One of the “perks” at this hotel is a $20 daily F&B credit for two. Left room same evening very late. Ate a restaurant while still there. Got hotel bill. No F&B credit applied. Called. Was told F&B credit would be applied and revised bill would be sent. No revised bill sent. Finally looked at receipt online at hilton.com. The $20.00 F&B credit was there but magically there was a corresponding $20.00 from The Pantry, $18.48 for something plus $1.52 tax. Called hotel to ask about fraudulent charge. Employee said “we don’t bill for something you don’t take”, then when I noted u was gone the evening before the charge was logged “well sometimes it posts the next day” (not true from my multiple past experiences), then “I’m not going to argue with you” when I asked him to what items were purchased for $18.48 pre tax total, and finally a phone hang up when I asked for his name in response to his saying “call the diamond desk if you have a problem with it”. Avoid this hotel at all if you’re a Hilton Diamond member (or frankly anyone). It’s not a matter of the $20.00. It’s about the gross incompetence, accounting scam, and lack of customer service … plenty of comparable alternatives offering better value and no headaches for...
