I recently went to a wedding in Fresno, (4/13-4/15/25) and after a horrible experience at the run down derelict Ramada, I joined my family party here at the Fairfield. I have to give absolutely GLOWING reviews of this location. Eloy, the night front desk clerk, was a gem!! He went out of his way to accommodate every little need I had. From paper plates to an extra hour to check out because of a late flight, He was a wonderful host. The day clerks, I really wish I could remember their names so I could shout them out directly. (it was sunday morning 4/13/25) who were so incredibly kind, friendly, and so sweet. I had a fabulous conversation with them while waiting on my uber, and we shared stories and I am so INCREDIBLY impressed with the staff and how well they connected with each guest on a personal level, you hired the very best people and I am thrilled with my experience. They are the best of the best you could hope for in the customer service industry. If you guys are reading this, I would also like to sing the praises of your breakfast staff, they were very organized and had everything out, hot, delicious, and it was VERY clean. The housekeeping staff was also wonderful The staff is very mindful of the guests comfort, privacy and happiness. My room was spacious, clean, had 2 large soft beds, SUPER clean linens, fridge, microwave, nice large closet with plenty of hangers, full ironing board and iron. The bathroom was large, clean, spacious and had all the toiletries you need. Anyone who is complaining about the "shoe box" rooms is flat out making stuff up because they are perfect size. Plenty of room and storage. The hotel itself was super clean, well cared for, the pool was spotless, the amenities include a nice little store with drinks, snacks, wine, toiletries. The lobby is comfortable, stylish and a great place to sit with coffee. I would recommend and stay here again in a heartbeat. 10/10!!!...
Read moreFriday/Saturday was great. Had to move rooms Sunday (Easter Sunday) due to Denny's at 5:30am on EASTER Sunday morning, starting up a compressor to power wash their dumpster area for an hour. If you look on the map, there isn't much space between the high-numbered rooms, and the back of Denny's. The next morning (Monday), at 5:30am, the sanitation department came and emptied Denny's dumpster (backup beeps from truck were fun). The next morning (Tuesday) at 5:30am, the US Foods delivery truck parked right outside my window (my new room) on N Channing Drive - they have no room to pull up to Denny's - and yes, backup truck beeping, loud spanish conversations, truck elevator and pallets of food unloaded right outside my window. The windows must be made of cellophane and do not dampen outside sounds. Do no stay here unless you plan on getting woken up by Denny's - insist at the front desk on staying in an odd-numbered and low-numbered room (for example 307 or 109). Do not stay in even-numbered or high-numbered rooms, like 310 or 234. You will be woken up by Denny's activities 100% at 5:30am. Gave one extra star for the front desk staff being helpful and accommodating in switching rooms the first time. It's 5:45am and I'm awake and can't go back to sleep. Maybe Denny's is trying to drum up business. I have one more night to stay here, and I wonder if I will be able to sleep past 5:30am. EDIT - 7:30am this guy and the loudest leaf blower outside clearing the driveway. Also, the air in the rooms is stale, as they dont use...
Read moreI’ve stayed at Fairfield Inns several times in Canada, but this was my first time in the US. When I first walked into the room, there was a very strong chemical smell that I found totally unpleasant and overwhelming. It only dissipated by keeping the window open almost all of the time during my 4-day stay. The other major issue is that there weren’t enough light sources. The room was rather dark, especially at night. The only overhead light in the room was the one near the door, and it was on a timer. So, I had to stand up every 15 minutes to switch it back on. There was a reading lamp and a strange object below it that could have been an ottoman since it had no back. I would have loved a reading chair in the room. Instead, there was this weird ottoman-like thing without a back that didn’t function as a chair. Perhaps it was just a spot to place a suitcase. I have no idea. The walls were very thin, as I could hear my neighbor’s TV quite loudly all the time they were in the room. In addition, I really would have liked a safe in the room. On the plus side, the walk-in shower was great and the breakfast was very good. I send a shout-out to Tony, the person who checked me in. He was extremely good-natured and helpful. I wish all employees at hotels were like him. Overall, this hotel was a mixed bag, especially with regard to the room odour. I would probably try another hotel if I were to come...
