Budget Host — Hotel in Fridley

The location on Hwy. 65 was easily accessible. Despite Hwy. 65 being a busy road, I heard little road noise unless a large semi truck went past. The room was absolutely spotless, and the linens and towels were snow white and soft. The shower was very clean, and the water temp and pressure were good. There were both a refrigerator and a microwave in the room (as well as a small coffee maker), so I was able to easily bring along and prepare my own beverages and breakfast. The tv worked well, and the wifi connection was quick and simple. Also, there were windows on both the front and back walls of the room. I opened them in the morning and got a lovely cross breeze. (And also a nice view of a beautiful vegetable garden.) The curtains were heavy and hung past the edges of the window frame. I was attracted to this hotel based on price and location as it was about $50 and close to where I needed to be. We rented two rooms. They were extremely filthy. One of the toilets had obviously been used and not cleaned and our white socks turned black after walking on the carpet. We had one light that wouldn't turn off so we had to take out the lightbulb. The mini fridge leaked so bad it was all over the dresser and onto the floor. Sitting in the puddle was a power strip. I called the manager who told me not to worry about it. The bed felt like it had sand in it and the pillows were so flat I might as well have had none. The whole place felt like some horror movie waiting to happen. I do not recommend this place and would never stay...

Bolt lock didn't work. The light in the bathroom had the automatic fan turn on that was SO LOUD! It was also uncovered and a fire hazard with dust clogging it. The dresser had no handles and was inlaid, so no way to open the drawers without tilting the whole thing. Maid service isn't daily. By day 2, we were out of clean towels, coffee, and cups. Creamer was so old, it was a solid chalk chunk in the packet. The walls are very thin and you can hear whole conversations! Running the water to take a shower is very loud, and the whole complex can hear that you are showering. You are right next to a busy road! The beds were comfortable. The water was soft.
